It’s one thing to fight all of the bosses again. Most of us were weaned on 8 and 16 bit JRPGS and while outdated, don’t mind it. But how anyone at SE thought that what they pulled was even remotely acceptable is baffling. And it’s not even the first time they pulled this shit within the last 20 years!

While Japan seems to have a better handle on covid-19 than other countries, Sony will not be launching the PlayStation 5 in Japanese stores out of concern for customers and retail workers.

Remember kids: when Immortan Joe turns on the water for a brief moment, crowd around and catch as much of it as you can, and raise not your fist, nor voice, nor eye to his magnanimous form, for your very existence in this sand-blasted hellscape teeters precariously upon his whim. Rejoice and dance in his favor, or

Having a contests in which getting 10 working hours is a prize is peak capitalism.

i’m going to calmly suggest that the legend of zelda franchise as a whole is generally unconcerned with logical or consistent time travel mechanics

I’ve been a struggling music artist since the age of 20...19 years ago.

I’m siding with the Twitch Streamers on this one. The music business is a hilariously morally relativistic sham of officiality; executives are doing 10x the drugs that the actual artists are doing, and 1/100th of the work, and they end up pocketing

Disagree with this. The best streamers have engaging personalities. It’s why there’s a whole react genre on Youtube. Watching a bad streamer who isn’t engaging really opens your eyes to how good (or at least entertaining to kids) the best streamers are.

Yeah the fact that we know your character has their own voice, but instead is represented by a bizarre floating Elmo kid that everyone just accepts is normal... is a bit odd. I really hope there is a questline that goes through wtf Paimon actually is.

I’ve been diligent about wearing a mask, but I admit to not wearing one at the drive-thru or for deliveries. Thanks for the reminder!

I am firmly in the “wait, I thought I hated her... do I actually like her now!?” camp. Let’s be clear: Paimon’s type of character is certainly an anime trope, and things like her referring to herself in the third-person just add fuel to my flaming hatred. Also, the “silent protagonist” trope in video games needs to

The current PS4 menu is super buggy and slow when you're in certain games and go back home. The PS3 had a perfect UI in my opinion, but it definitely feels old at this point

There’s a fair degree of fatness you can attain in ESO’s creator, to the point where my amazonian DragonKnight actually LOOKS like she’s capable of swinging a greatsword around like its nothing whilst chugging ale. And Fable II has it as well, at least through gameplay. Still- it is quite rare.

I’m glad to see a greater diversity of create-yourself options in non-sports games (sports games do a better job with Black skin tones and hair because those models are already made for the real-world athletes in majority-black sports like football and basketball.) I’ve never had a problem creating a reasonable

Which would still be different for the franchise because it’s never done the Tolkien or Witcher approach

Any other team would not have shown off FFXVI at this stage. You can clearly see Yoshi-P’s influence on the company in action here, and honestly it’s so exciting. It actually looks like a real video game too! Though I can clearly see where it’s lacking polish, that’s fine as it’s certainly not gonna actually come out

Love James Brown, and I really enjoyed that trailer but I think they should have just kept the music samples and not used any of the lyrics. I get what they’re going for here but it’s not quite gelling. I do wish more companies would embrace these Hero-having-fun-while-heroing style moments instead have them always

You know what, I like your explanation.

Maybe they just wanted to be unique. James Brown is the most sampled artist of all time, with 7000+ samples. From “I Got a Feeling” “Funky President” His Whoo Yeah Break, “The Payback,” and like a five dozen others. All of those have been sampled to death, for good reason, they’re awesome! But maybe they wanted to

if it makes you feel better someone yesterday on reddit called the Xbox Ninja Gaiden games old school. And I was like old school? Whenever someone says old school Ninja Gaiden I think of NES.....and realized that I am indeed old. :(

I’m loving this take on BR, and appreciate your take in the article. Agreed, they have a great foundation, and now we crave more. But this isn’t Fortnite, the creators are moving slowly, gradually opening up the game (Solos became available just two days ago) to make sure everything works before iterating. Everyone
