I read a lot of historical fiction, and many of the greats can blend the fantastical nature of the religious and mythological aspects of the time period with the factual. Assassin’s Creed is scared of both in ways that makes it feel like a jumbled mess, and really helps to sell part of why I find Immortals Fenyx

It was clever in Steins;Gate (the writer wrote Bravely Default too), but that was a visual novel and so you were reading it, not fighting through the same sets of bosses and enemies ad nauseum. Argh, the traumatic memories are all flowing back whenever I see this game.

The drive-thru one is an especially solid reminder as it is really easy to just go “screw it, my car is my space” when driving (also glasses fogging while driving is a big danger zone in itself, so it is very easy to overlook the brief moments to just pull the mask back up).

Yeah... I don’t know if this really shows how stupid I can sometimes be, but when I first read that line, I took it as totally literal... She was some weird creature that we could cook if necessary for the sake of survival... Then I remembered that this game appeals to anime fans... And that innocence went away...

I always forget about the ESO character creator. That one does more: absolutely. But yes, it is rare, and it is disappointing.

I really like what I have seen of BG3's character creation tool. There are so many options, and I love how we can make our DnD characters without many restrictions (definitely understand the frustration on the hair side of things... I cannot begin to share my own problems with great hair being gender-locked depending

Yeah, Dragon’s Dogma is where this sort of representation starts and stops (and even then, isn’t perfect). We need more of this in games, and it is shocking we only have one major example of its presence.

Yeah, it’s a great way to keep people playing, while minimizing the amount of work it takes the team to maintain. Allows them to move on to the next major aspect of the game that they want to continue developing.

That cross-save feature may have just sold this for me. As someone who has also been adoring the early access version of the game, this is exceptionally appealing.

To be fair, there weren’t many good options period. Romance in Odyssey was bad. But it did diversify on that front. And as for Aya, I respect that opinion. I’m just curious if she would have been as dark skinned as Bayek if she had been the only lead, because we seem to default to white, or white passing, women when

I’m honestly really sick of the way people are downplaying the good they did with Bayek and Alexios for diversifying male characters in this crusade over the women in Assassin’s Creed. A positive black male lead, and a male lead who could be as gay as you wanted, without any impact to his “masculinity” are huge steps

Just had to jump onto this comment since you mentioned Hades. Yes everybody, it rules. Play it as soon as you can.

This is fantastic news actually. With the game only having about a year of development with this more PvE focus, it is great to see that they’re taking into consideration a lot of the criticism that has been directed its way prior to this beta (a big one being we’ve seen next to nothing of the game’s actual gameplay).

I am so psyched for this adaptation. As one of my all-time favourite games, the DS version a title I constantly return to, I am eager to see how they modernize and adapt this for a 1 to 2 cour show. This is going to be so cool.

I wouldn’t necessarily write off any sort of connection with Jak and Daxter yet in Ratchet and Clank. There’s still time for that to be a huge reveal when the game launches.

I’m in agreement about that, but it’s still freaking awesome to have a Miles Spider-Man game.

I do not fault you for that reaction at all. The sheer amount of busywork that the Inquisitor is forced to do is ridiculous, especially when contrasted against the, smaller and better constructed, expansions for the game. Even The Witcher 3, which arguably has a larger world, is much tighter in design, and has more

Have to agree with this. It's an interesting idea, but one that could easily backfire. As a player, I do not like seeing this idea of "we'll take away content to make room for new content" idea, as it really screams that this should have been a sequel instead. I get the intent behind it, but don't like the feeling of

I remember that. Due to some issues, and an eventual migration to PC for ME, I ended up playing the demo on every platform it was available on just to ensure that I had that armour. No idea why. It wasn’t even the best armour that was in the game - and wasn’t even really on par with the sort of DLC/Preorder gear that

I have to agree with this take. There’s a lot Nintendo can do that they aren’t, and at this point, their desire to maintain the current trajectory will only continue to take them down paths that may not be as profitable as they could be. Imagine if Doom Eternal and Animal Crossing could have been played on the same
