Taking their time is a good call. This is a tough situation for Bioware. They have the opportunity to put together something amazing, since I do personally believe that Anthem has the bones of something worthwhile (narrative, gameplay, and universe wise). However, they’ll need to achieve FFXIV levels of success to dig

Yep, similarly there should be options to achieve swifter results in hand-to-hand combat as well that would allow for those who play that way to not feel punished for it either. One of the balancing acts that I think Unity achieved better than the rest was the way it made combat into something that, much like

That would be a really cool method to set this up. Instakill stealth should be a bit more conditional so that it doesn’t require a specific build (except to make more opportunities for it) and instead rely on the player using the tools built into the game from the outset to achieve their desired results.

I am so happy to see someone praise the GBA/DS title. I love that game so much (and still have my cartridge floating about somewhere at home). The 16-bit era style of beat-em-up was great for stress relief for me, and I was such a happy child playing through that game.

I can understand the frustration here. The fact that Odyssey is sold as a game where you can make your own decisions and determine who Alexios or Kassandra are as our avatars, it is wrong to force players into a storyline like this without any way of backing out of such a consequence.

Absolutely. That doesn’t help at all either.

This is such an important ideology and one that is hard to properly internalize.

This is not an unprecedented decision on any company’s part and so it always surprises me how people seem to act as if they never saw it coming.

This game is one of the only games that I’ve ever felt absolutely needs a direct sequel. Everything about it was quite refined, and the world built up within was definitely fantastic.

Thinking of grabbing Ni No Kuni II since I adored the first one, but am not sure if I have the funds for it this weekend.

If they were doing their cultural heritage justice, there should be more presence of other ethnicities. Sure, we can argue for ages about how many black people were actually in Europe throughout history; however, at the very least, Asians (Middle East, Central, East Asia) of all walks of life would have been moving

Blizzard you have just brought me back to Overwatch with this reveal. You’ve taken so many of my favourite design elements for female characters in games and mashed them together in a way that has me excited just for her in the lore.

I can totally understand this reasoning. What I don’t understand, however, is why they’re insistent on not localizing Monster Hunter XX for the North American audience.

While there were undoubtedly people who were salty about the casting of those films, we would definitely be seeing articles about whitewashing if Attack on Titan was adapted by a Hollywood studio, despite the fact that only one of the main cast is “Asian” by the standards of their world.

I completely agree with this here. They need to do something to make this version worthwhile, and, while just adapting content from Progressive would make a big difference on its own, the best thing to do would be to make some changes that can alter the overall plot progression in some potentially interesting ways.

Inquisition is a game of fantastic characters that people latch onto and just struggle to not romance on subsequent playthroughs.

It never did, I’m sorry to say.

It is too bad, because we relegate content like this to small children who are still learning and growing up, or exclusively to reality shows that air on specialized channels.

Both of these shows remind me of Daily Lives of High School Boys in their sincerity about just letting these women be themselves (A Place Further than the Universe in particular). It’s part of what makes them some of the best content this season has to offer.

That sounds like an absolutely great way to play the game. D&D, and other RPGs, provide so many opportunities for wild and wacky adventures like this.
