The reasoning explained here is going to get a lot of flack, something I can understand, but I’m all on board for having Link left as a male character. I know it’s not the most popular decision, but I cannot get behind the idea of a female Link. Much like I can’t get behind the ideas of male versions of Lara Croft, or

I’m honestly shocked that Mercy and DVa don’t really have any yet. You would think that they would, but they haven’t. It’s still all focused on Tracer, Winston and Reaper.

Very true. I’m just more worried about the future of console gaming after these systems, but I absolutely agree. While Sony hasn’t said anything (and I’m still worried on their end), Microsoft has assuaged plenty of fears that they’ll do something really stupid again... at least for now XD

Whatever I had been expecting from Kojima Production’s first title, it was not that, but I’m truly eager to find out what exactly it is.

While the atmosphere of this game seems really cool, this just doesn’t feel as Resident Evil for me as I’d hope so far. From the apparently confirmed first person point-of-view for this one, and the fact that so far nothing in this trailer really screamed Resident Evil to me, I’m going to be cautiously optimistic.

I love it when a studio works on an open world game that’s not about killing, stealing or blowing things up, among other things.

That is 100 per cent the same issue I’m having. The game looks astounding, and if it truly pulls it off - something I’m hoping the beta in the fall will shine some light on - this would be just as worthwhile as P5.

That’s true, it’s just a little weird that we’re losing those faction abilities, unless they add them to the Northrealms or Skellige.

Honestly, finding a way to allow everyone to play together was probably the coolest thing about Microsoft’s conference. This connection between PC and console is fascinating and will definitely change up the face of the industry.

Seeing as this was started the same time, and with the same mentality as Fable Legends, I’m worried that there won’t be an option to play outside of with friends. Something that both Destiny and The Division got right was allowing players to access a fair amount of content on their own. Something I agree that I hope

For all the buildup they’ve had around the Titan fight since Episode Duscae, this was the biggest let down that I’ve received from FFXV. Everything about what they showed was incredibly boring and unexciting.

I was honestly kind of shocked they removed the Nilfgard faction in exchange for Skellige. I mean, I’m looking forward to using them, but it’s weird to lose Nilfgard in the process.

This is honestly a lot more exciting than it has any right to be. While I’m not very good at Gwent, it’s a really fun game that was probably the greatest mini-game in a RPG since Triple Triad in FFVIII (yes, I am aware that it’s back in FFXIV).

Well, they were saying they plan to add more content that fans want into the sequel. It’s not really a great bit of news, but it is something to glean hope from.

Matt Mercer is such a certified troll. He’s honestly one of the most delightful voice actors out there with how he interacts with the community.

I don’t mind... necessarily... waiting, but I agree that what the Star Wars reel did was the true crime of the conference. They didn’t show anything, even for the three Star Wars titles that are already released and getting new content. That was what really hurt.

Isn’t that a yearly thing from them now though? Dev diaries and sports. I could have swore that was all they usually showed. Oh and the periodic gameplay footage for a big upcoming release. Can’t forget about those!

This little showcase and the decision on Bioware’s part to withhold information on Mass Effect until the Fall really brought down the quality of the press conference. I say this as someone who was still impressed with Titanfall 2 and Battlefield 1.

While it’s exciting to see more of this, I’m actually quite miffed about the fact that they’re still holding off on really showing anything. Fall? That’s when they’re going to talk about it? Good to know that we won’t see anything until November then...

You know what, I think it’s really cool how they had this trailer told primarily from the point-of-view of the Titan. It was a really cool idea for setting things up.
