I’m very interested in seeing how this one pans out for Telltale. Their work on Wolf Among Us was extremely impressive and showed that they could stylistically work with DC artists, and this looks no different.

Great to see this reposted. It’s a very informative article that gives a very good view on the mindset of many developers during the build up to E3.
If it weren’t for the fact that Dream Drop Distance is most definitely worth the price of admission, I would be really bummed about the running time for the other two portions. That said, I’m actually really excited for this.
Wait... we could vote for ourselves? You mean every time I end up on there with some nice Lucio, Zarya or Mercy plays, and no one votes for me, I could have been giving myself a nice little digital clap on the back? Dammit! XP
To be fair, they did request a good Game of Thrones RPG. Telltale Games’ title was not a RPG. It was an adventure game.
This was pretty awesome! I love seeing projects like this come to fruition. There’s a lot of talent behind them. Also, this scene was the best thing about Apocalypse - well, one of two things, both involving Quicksilver.
That’s one of the most frustrating things about playing as Mercy. You’re on a role healing and buffing and then all of a sudden everyone’s gone away until you see them return on your killcam to take down the one who killed you. Lots of fun XD
It was most definitely a great read, and something I think other companies should feel more willing to do when bringing over a game from Japan - if they need to make alterations during the localization. I know Xseed has been quite open in the past about the localization process, but Atlus, Sega, Square and - in…
Honestly, I think that if they were to do an original story set within the Dragon Age universe, one not meant to build up a new game or retelling a game’s story, there could be something pretty strong there. As Dragon Age undoubtedly has some inspiration from A Song of Ice and Fire (Game of Thrones to those unaware of…
Oh man, my backlog of games is still pretty big, but for games I have completed this year so far it would be Steins;Gate, Fire Emblem Fates (Birthright and Conquest), Bloodborne, and The Order 1886.
I honestly have to argue the whole Zenyatta not being good for 1v1 as I never had any troubles doing that with him, oddly enough. He most definitely is brittle, but a nicely placed orb of discord can do wonders for encounters.
Wonderful review. Alongside a few other reviews (notably PC Gamer’s and IGN’s) I’m totally convinced that I NEED this game.
As much as I really like pretty much all of the female cast members in Overwatch, where’s the love for some of the awesome guys in the game? Why no Lucio? Or Winston? Or McCree? Or Torbjorn? Or Junkrat? etc. Oh, and where’s the Zarya art? Seriously... all the ladies, but her... why?
Sure that’s one way to look at things, but as I said, Overwatch and Battleborn have enough similar features for them to be compared against one another and cause people to determine which one they’d rather purchase. Unlike Doom and Uncharted, which have preestablished fanbases to help them out, both of these are…
That’s actually an unfair claim to make. While the games play differently, Overwatch being more of a traditional arena shooter and Battleborn being focused on co-operative and MOBA style play, both of them releasing around the same time and being hero based shooters leaves a lot to compare.
I was just about to ask that myself. I could have swore that they hadn’t released the Vita version yet. If they have, I have to go pick it up ASAP.
I played the betas for both this and Overwatch, and found a lot to like and quite a bit to dislike. From my point-of-view, I’m currently more in love with the heroes in Ovewatch, personality wise, as they’re all pretty awesome, and being based in a cartoonish variation on Earth doesn’t hurt at all, but Battleborn was…
This was a lot better than I expected, and the Scooby-Doo feel was definitely worthwhile. The humour was pretty spot on, and the voice work was great! I really enjoyed this.
Very nice list. I have played The Last Story, Radiant Historia and Wild Arms and totally agree upon their inclusion here.
It’s really sad that they had to go out of their way to defend a review that wasn’t flattering to them, but kudos to Paradox for doing that as it really does wonders to shut up some people who believe that they can safely put words in a person/company’s mouth and act as the almighty wealth of knowledge that governs…
