I believe there was a much larger silent crowd responsible for that revenue dent. One who didn’t comment on the Internet or elsewhere but quietly voted with their wallets, going from seeing Star Wars films multiple times and buying the merchandise to as little as seeing The Last Jedi once and buying none.

I don’t even understand why finishing Winds of Winter before the show ended was ever a big benchmark to everyone involved. Winds of Winter is just the first of the two planned volumes to finish the story. There was no way he was finishing Dream of Spring before the show ended.

He was saying it should be ten seasons way back when it first premiered. And even then I thought he was nuts- TV shows rarely last that long, if for no other reason than the cast get bored and want the fuck out.

Their tremendous stupid loss.

Good music is good music, no matter when it was made.

I read the book years after having seen the first film and the inferior sequel. It was fascinating to realize while reading the book that the sequel had been a bad adaptation of the second half of the book.

I had a theory that was unsupported by anything other than their casual chemistry and that they are both hot, that Steve and Maria Hill had a “friends with benefits” thing going on. She was clearly oogling him in Avengers, she seemed genuinely distressed in Winter Soldier when it seemed like he was about to sacrifice

That might be the only way to salvage it, I don’t know. Still so clunky. I’d prefer if they do something like Razer demon made him imagine that he was ever not a little person, but that goes against a bunch of stories that showed him big.

That’s the one.  So terrible.

Hela also. So that when 4 out of the 7 times Mjolnir has appeared in one of these movies someone else has managed to hold it, yes that’s several.

Bill Mantlo really messed up Puck hard with that backstory, and made him borderline offensive. I think the MCU has wisely handled these types of situations by just ignoring problematic elements, so I would hope they do that with him.

She’s interesting, because that iteration of her is really crossing these two distinct character brands (Captain America-Captain Britain) from the comics that don’t really interact. I wouldn’t be surprised if the MCU decides to pursue a Captain Britain show/movie by featuring her, with Brian Braddock as a supporting

I get the intent in the movie, it is as you described. But it was still constructed as a comedic moment paying off the earlier afterparty scene of everyone trying to lift it.  There’s even a beat where Thor makes a silly face to the rest of the team.  And then during the fight with Ultron, Vision again uses it and

In the comics, it was really special at first when someone could hold it. The MCU let Vision hold it as a joke!

Why do you think Beta Ray Bill would’ve been perfect for Thor 4?

It’s weird this article didn’t mention it, but Captain Britain’s schtick is that he is a member of the Captain Britain Corps, a multi-dimensional peacekeeping force. So there is actually a recurring ally of his called Captain U.K., the Corps member of another reality.

Gotcha. My mistake.

There is no way they are replacing Keaton at this point after how apeshit the internet went over the new that he was returning.

Winds of Winter is not a pipe dream. There’s enough of that book written that we will get most of it eventually, no matter what happens.

Watch Picard season 2.
