But the Dr. Strange movie will probably tell you that one sentence to explain what’s up with Wanda so you can enjoy the Dr. Strange movie, so it doesn’t matter. The trailer basically explained it already.

Is it really that hard to just know that Wanda did a bad thing and is stronger now, there are other realities that include an evil Dr. Strange, and be good? I have no intention of watching What If and I’m pretty sure I’m going to be fine.
I think you can probably treat BoBF episodes 5-7 as Mandalorian episodes with some weird emphasis on rando supporting characters in episode 7 and be okay. Episode 7 is mostly a big fight, anyway.
Oh for sure Lucas intended it to speak to the Falcon’s speed. It’s everyone after Lucas trying to fix his use of the wrong term.
Worst part? The Kessel run wasn’t because of the Falcon’s speed
Yes. The fan service detracted from some truly spectacular Star Wars set pieces like the train heist and the Kessel Run. Those were awesome! I saw a lot more imagination and world building in Solo than in the rest of Disney’s Star Wars theatrical output.
I think fans can be too literal sometimes when characters mention time in stories, because irl people generalize, estimate, and round when they are discussing timeframes.
I’m well aware of how What If stories are composed and actually of the two issues you are describing.
His last project was actually The Nevers, which had a mixed reception but I remember being surprised to read was enjoying some amount of audience success.
It also echoes the bizarre excuse he gave to his wife that she shared in her letter, about being a cursed greek god surrounded by things he couldn’t touch.
I wouldn’t say he’s the real villain, but he has as many of his own issues that he needs to sort out as Johnny.
I disagree. Everything you say is definitely part of a repetitive formula to the show, but there’s some surprising subtext about parenting, aging, and cycles of toxic masculinity/ethos that I think is worth parsing out.
I get what you’re saying re: the audience, but from the way The Mandalorian is treating Clone Wars and Rebels content it seems like they are making an effort to maintain continuity with those animated shows. Disney Plus is also making a concerted push to new animated content like Bad Batch and the last season of Clone…
He died again in Rebels, not Clone Wars.
The hot chocolate thing was a joke.
At least the Tarkin predated the Death Star II in RotJ. I bet the writers never anticipated that Lucas would repeat himself and thought they were in the clear when they came up with it.
Defense of Jet, no. Just striving for accuracy.
I love today’s column, Caroline. As a long time fan of this movie, I’ve had to deal with the divisiveness basically every year. And I can understand where the criticisms are coming from! Unlikeable characters, cringe train wreck conversations, strange romances . . .
Thank you. I know exactly what I want now.
I’m conflicted, because I like Adrienne Palicki as Mockingbird, but I also like Mockingbird and Hawkeye as a couple, and I like Linda Cardellinni as Clint’s spouse, so I don’t know what I want anymore.
