We’ve seen how quickly Yelena can kill in the Black Widow movie, so I think she was trying to take Clint alive. Maybe because she wanted him to know who she was before she killed him, or perhaps she didn’t completely buy the story De LaFontaine told her.

I get what you’re saying, but Malina is specifically talking about a major studios like Warner Bros. giving Gibson work, and not a known shit hole like Fox News being a safe harbor for people like Sean Hannity.

I don’t know, the comments about full online support, dedicated servers, and no lag seemed like a direct attack at Nintendo.

I’m a big fan of the GI Joe toys and Larry Hama’s comics. Finally got around to this movie. I had hopes, but this was awful.

I wish one of these companies would do a Mario Kart mash-up like this using vehicles. Batmobile, Ecto 1, the Delorean, Mach 5, KITT, Mad Max’s Interceptor . . .

It’s been a bit since I read the book, but I really am sort of wondering at all these articles about how impenetrable these books are.

Most of the solo MCU brands have been structured as trilogies. (IW & Endgame were basically one story, and Thor will be the first to go to 4). I’d bet Spider-Man was set up the same, but like Thor (and probably Avengers eventually), won’t preclude a pivot.  I would imagine that pivot would feel like something new,

Considering that the the original Let It Be film has been out of circulation for decades, and probably will never return, this project is the closest we’ll be getting to this famous element from their history. That’s what the big deal about this particular project is. That it has a talent like Peter Jackson working on

Michael Nesmith released some pretty good country rock albums in the early 70s that are worth exploring and yielded some minor hits. His biggest songwriting accomplishment is undoubtedly “Different Drum” which was a big hit for Linda Ronstadt.

Yes, in addition to being a philandering alcoholic, Ringo was apparently also a wife-beater.

I think you might be right about their intent, but the implications of it makes it a pretty terrible message, and her character pretty short sighted.

Universal is reportedly sitting on the Namor rights but haven’t made a movie yet. Universal also has the Hulk solo movie rights, which is why he has only been used as a supporting character since the Norton film.

With the Infinity Gauntlet out of the way, Adam Warlock’s greatest remaining story is Magus and the Church of Universal Truth.

I’m always going to be sad that the MCU did the whole Thanos/Infinity Saga thing without Warlock.

Warlock in the original 70's series was often very angry looking.  He became more tranquil with his 90's resurrection.   It could work.

For most 60's bands,  yearly output was very much the thing.  It looks like it was in the 70's that a gap of 2-4 years between albums became more of a norm.

Eh, I think most of us know that. What seems to be important for this article is the timing of their last released album, Let It Be, with regards to when McCartney announced his split from the band.

People’s hatred for Yoko Ono was always more about misogyny, with a smattering of racism,

Part of this is also how much of a novelty it was for a band to write their own songs. They had already written a bit, but their pre-label act mostly consisted of covers. It was George Martin who encouraged them to write more when he saw the quality of it, and let them in on the $$$ of music publishing.

It’s sometimes hard to realize how unprecedented they were. Rock and Roll was still a very new art form, and no artist/group had yet successfully maintained a consistent career out of it.  (Even Elvis had his army years bump and was keeping popular with movies)
