Open up most any issue of National Geographic (especially one from a couple decades ago) and you'll see that there are plenty of places in the world where topless women aren't sexualized at all.

I dunno, why should that get a warning, when say, a picture of a burger or a side of ham wouldn't? It's all dead animal, and if you're upset by one and not the other I think you should rethink your relationship to meat.

I'm a vegetarian animal lover...and I don't think this is really terrible or even newsworthy. Giraffes aren't an endangered species, and lions have to eat. In fact, that giraffe probably had a better life and easier death than the feedlot cow that would have been the lions' meal otherwise, right?

I guess I just have

I'm not that surprised. Women can be just as shitty as men, especially when they get rewarded for being a "cool girl" when they say sexist shit..

Man, I have such conflicted feelings about AA. Their CEO is a creep and their ads are often gross (this is a cool exception!). But it's so hard to find non-sweatshop clothing that I've bought underwear from them a couple of times.

This article appears to be about the fedora persona, not the hat itself.

My friend's dog came into the shelter with cigarette burns on his testicles. He is the sweetest, friendliest pup you could ever imagine- I can't even begin to conceive how someone could do that to him, and how he survived with his spirit intact.

Yeah, absolutely. In my opinion we need to change the way we view meat, from an every-meal necessity to an occasional luxury. There's just no way to produce enough meat sustainably otherwise.

Eh, I'm a liberal do-gooder vegetarian environmentalist, and I can get behind this. Most wild game is probably much more ethical and better for the environment than even the fanciest Whole Foods grass-fed organic beef.

I'd argue that mutts are more glamourous! People are always asking me questions about my unique-looking mutt that some boring-ass purebred would never get.

Come on, trash-talking Nature and Science papers is like a hobby among researchers! I'm not a plant person so that paper wasn't really on my radar but I'll check it out.

What's the Nature paper you're talking about? I'm in the same field so I'm curious!

WHAT. That is disgusting!

Once I was standing by a DDG swinging some very long, thick, rough white-girl dreads. Those things hurt!

Sorry :(

6. The couple who will not stop groping each

Honestly, it sounds like you're angry at women for being normal human beings with normal human foibles. That's kind of shitty and makes you sound sexist.

Pretty much. And the villain was such an over-the-top evil caricature (written with a touch of homophobia, in my opinion).

I also haaaated Outlander. Mediocre writing/plotting and far too much romanticized sexual violence.
