I got a completely opposite read of everything suggested in this article. I think the interviewer’s comment was a bit offensive, as that line has been suggested to have been read in a monotone by so many (and to be silly scripting). There are many, many layers of dumb here, but ironically, the only entity with a legal argument for free speech to be made here is Disney for firing Carano.

For the 1 millionth time, free speech protects people from the government imposing penalties on you for saying stupid/offensive/controversial/etc shit.

This is the first I read that some of these were cancelled. OFMD in particular surprises me.  

I watched six of these cancelled shows, so it isn’t that no one was watching. I was certainly not the only viewer. Every time shows that I like to I watch get cancelled, my interest in investing my time into a new series declines.
