Pratt had been in uniform or using a police vehicle while making any of the alleged threats. When the woman said no, Deaton told the paper that he determined her complaints were more of a personal issue that didn’t warrant intervention.

I have to confess, what bothered me the most about the regeneration ultimately wasn’t the fact that she regenerated into David Tennant. It was the fact that her clothes regenerated too! I mean, WTF! That made no sense! I sincerely hope there is some sort of explanation for that, because otehrwise I am profoundly…
They should have put her in jail.
Chapek is all about profits in the here and now. Under his leadership the company is loosing the vision of lifelong customer loyalty.
I’m pretty sure someone wrote a story here maybe last year when the “Star Wars hotel” opened at that insane price. That was my first true epiphany that Disney was maybe morphing into something more nakedly greedy and classist (yes, even more than usual LOL).
I totally agree. Disney is a corporation run by a board, and their job is to make money for the stockholders. That’s it. It isn’t to make people HAPPY at the park, unless that increases their bottom line, and people being unhappy isn’t having any real impact now. (Will it down the line? That’s debatable. Personally I…
My son told me this weekend: “If one guy can be CEO of 3+ companies, then CEOs don’t do a whole lot.”
Are not all colors, especially digital ones, made of up RGB or CMYK values? Certainly they cannot copyright or claim ownership over 255,0,0 (i.e. red).
It’s because in the US, we’re obsessed with fault. Whose fault is it? Is it my fault? is it their fault? As long as we can blame someone else, it’s a great reason not to do fuckall about a problem.
It takes a long time for young trees to become carbon neutral and by the time that happens, they’ll probably end up being fuel for a wild fire. Or if its Palestine, Israel will just destroy the trees to move in Israelis. Something very poetic about working to destroy your ecosystem for your supposed strip of promised…
What’s so fucking frustrating about this is that the USA has the wealth and tech to make its power grid completely off fossil fuels today, we just don’t want to bother. We could start building enough plants of various kinds (nuclear, solar, wind) to meet all electricity demands right now. We are actively choosing not…
Yeah it seems like anything to do with Rogue One is good, it’s the only movie I accept since the original trilogy too. This show is so good, I’m going to be so upset when the season is over. The other TV shows are ok, entertaining but not on this level.
I know that Sci Fi shows like this are generally ignored by Award shows but Genevieve O’Reilly genuinely deserves recognition for her performance as Mon Motha in this show. She’s so great in this show.
daddy’s girl Leida (Bronte Carmichael) puts her mother on the spot by calling him “mother’s old boyfriend”—which Mon deduces she got from her dad.
Star Wars has always had an undercurrent of grimness. A whole planet was obliterated in “A New Hope.” The whole of the prequel trilogy is literally about the Dark Side prevailing and ends with children literally being slaughtered.
Almost all “prestige” TV shows these days are dark.
Merchandisable iconography free of any likeness rights owed to recognizable actors. And they couldn’t even put a piece of actual Star Wars music over it. Just awful.
Good rule of thumb, the younger cast are more likely to not be transphobic and the older cast is more likely to be, there are exceptions of course but that's usually how it goes. Also Daniel Radcliffe is pretty swell guy, not content to be just the Harry Potter guy his whole life and I can respect that.
Huh, I wasn’t expecting Peter Billingsley’s and Daniel Craig’s looks to converge as they aged.
Gross. Just fucking adapt more Jean Shepherd stories and use the hundreds of hours of recordings of him for narration.
