I’d enjoy this more A) if I could actually see anything, and B) if they went a bit harder into the horror. There’s an entire type of Pokemon, basically tailor-made for horror, and they use none of them in this? C’mon, at least have a dude look in a mirror and see a Gengar in his shadow.

I spent two years teaching English in Japan, and during one of my non-English working hours, I found myself sitting in listening to one of the Middle School teachers lecturing on history. He specifically mentioned the Imperial Japanese Army’s killing of civilians and POWs and said “These are crimes. Make no mistake.

I’m still more interested in this than the Diamond/Pearl remakes because they are experimenting with something new. If this does well, this could shift the paradigm for the standard Pokemon games. And every article I see reviewing the new gen of Pokemon games usually has some level of critique that the Pokemon formula

Forgot? More like left out. For good reason. Including the Disney parts of Kingdom Hearts into Smash Bros. means including a lot more of Disney the company into Smash Bros., and that is troubling for a few reasons.

One, creative control. While Smash Bros. does an excellent job referencing and honoring its characters

I have to place myself in the no-Sora camp, for basically most the reasons most no-Sora campers cite. I do think there are too many sword (or sword like, you pedants) characters, and I don’t particularly like Sora as a character.

I can’t say for certain what character for what company would be nice to see (I would have

So, the whole “Chris Pratt is wishy-washy about his political views, therefore he must be a Trump-MAGA-All-Lives-Matter-Thin-Blue-Line-Anti-Gay-Clint-Eastwood-Wannabe” is deeply disingenuous. Like, on the same level as “James Gunn made jokes about pedophilia and therefore supports pedophilia.”

Could it be that he

Now playing

Woof.

Okay, most of this cast seems really cynical. None of these names are really that small, with the exception of Sebastian Maniscalco. Even Fred Armisen will be recognizable to the Brooklyn Nine-Nine crowd, which is no small crowd. I do not think they were casting based on role, but more based on which celebrities

I get the appeal of One Piece, and hell, I was right alongside a lot of people while I was in undergrad. But soon after the timeskip, I felt I wasn’t reading it out of fun and more out of sunk cost. Like, after this much investment, I have to see it to the end.

But for me, it has started to drag on a little too long.

Y’know what this feels like? This feels like EA threw the devs a task they thought they wouldn’t want to do or be able to do; remake Dead Space from the ground up. Like Motive Studios came to the EA execs with a cool idea for a new original IP and EA was like “Okay, we’ll let you make this but only if you do this

Okay, so, I feel like the Japanese (and their companies) don’t really have the same copyright laws that we have (or at least, a lot of people interpret to have) here in the US. One thing I have noticed on Japanese tv is how much music from other works they use. I’ve heard themes from US horror films used in Variety

There’s always that one guy...

Wait, no “Young Frankenstein”? I get that it’s not an “old” movie (1974 for those wondering), but it shows that color isn’t a necessity for comedy.

If they businesspeople try to issue a “stick to games” edict, throw that in their face. This sort of thing affects every one of us, whether we’re movie lovers, gamers or sports fans. No managerial order can or should halt this discussion.

Instead of The Apprentice, he should probably do a new spin on The Great Escape.

This is like digging up the Necronomicon, performing the ritual, and raising the dead only to have them do telemarketing so someone saves money on wages.

I have a practically religious habit of playing WoW (Retail, not Classic) every night. I was super excited for Patch 8.3, revealed earlier this week. My friend and I are going to BlizzCon 2019.

Just in time for two new Pokemon games. Clever girl.

So, I used to be an ardent follower of Evangelion. You know, one of those kids in middle school who had the box set on DVD and felt it spoke deep truths about human nature and belief that Western Media was too afraid to.

I wouldn’t be worried. I hear he’s taking some time to get redesigned.

Miyamoto.
