I haven’t read her memoir, but Going Clear was fascinating and terrifying. This sounds very interesting.

1,4,3,2 for me. Chris Pratt is one of my free passes.
Well, this sounds almost reasonable. There’s hope yet for a unified left.
In my experience, there’s no good “excuse” not to drink when you’re young and have friends who are partiers. I had to just accept the eyerolls from my friends (who are good friends, not just partiers) so I could maintain those important relationships.
Is Booker “off” the list now? Because he would be the best possible choice, IMO. Especially if they want to appeal to the young voters on team Bernie.
That’s true she did. I didn’t rewatch the series before this season so I found myself trying to fill in blanks (this full year between seasons bullshit is frustrating).
Misplaced resources are still misplaced resources. If I go to work and print 1000 photocopies of my butt, that’s a waste of paper. The paper was going to be used anyway - that’s what it’s for - but it wasn’t intended for that purpose, and now it’s not there for more important things.
Hillary and the DNC might be more willing to work with him if he would show them an ounce of respect.
Nobody wants lenient sentences for dangerous offenders (rapists, murderers, molesters, etc.) The goal is rational sentences that fit a crime, and less incarceration for issues that could be more easily resolved with access to mental health resources. Most non-violent offenders don’t belong in prison. Violent people…
Oh man, Lolly as she was being taken into Psych. So hard to watch. Lori Petty should get an award for that performance.
Oh my god, Suzanne. It just went from bad to worse and it made me SO ANGRY that there aren’t proper mental health services for people like her. I was devastated.
I finished the season last night and I’m still really shaken up by the last few episodes.
Drug interactions can be so scary. I once (accidentally) mixed percocet with a minuscule amount of alcohol that was baked into a cake and I freaked out. I felt sick and dizzy, I became horribly paranoid, and I thought something serious was happening to me. The worst part is, it happened at a work party, so I tried my…
THAT’S HER NAME. Thank you!
Oh wait! I recognize her! That’s a first for me. I can’t think of her name or where I know her from, but I knew she existed and that makes me a winner!
Truth. They’ve done some amazingly shitty things over the years. A few years back a Canadian man was beheaded on a bus by a person having a mental break. PETA took THAT and was basically like, “Oh, right, you care about HIS life...”
PETA’s a big fan of lowering and objectifying women to make a statement about how we should treat animals. This is not new for them.
Those numbers are staggering. Thanks for posting.
That’s mostly because she’s a pretty white girl. Not to take anything away from her - what happened to her is horrific - but the news is far more likely to cover bad things happening to white people than bad things happening to people of colour.
Do you have the percentages of men vs women who are raped in the military? Because yes, most military rape victims are men (a problem that must be addressed), but there are also significantly more men in the military than women. I’d be interested to know what the proportional breakdown is, if it’s available.
