I’m fully empathetic to people who have body image issues, whether they stem from height, weight, or anything else. Having lived with those issues my entire life, I know exactly how it feels to be judged on my looks and it absolutely sucks.

Working on body image issues is a life-long process. I can’t put off dating and finding happiness in that part of my life for the day when I’m completely confident in how I look. I’ll literally be waiting forever.

This is me. I don’t want to date someone who, just by nature of their stature, makes me feel huge. I already have enough body image issues without that added stress.

Seriously though, when I was in the dating pool my own mother was telling me to lower my standards, because it was apparently too much to ask that a guy be taller than me and have steady employment.

That’s so strange. I’ve been watching the show and I was actually a little surprised that everyone looked age appropriate. For what it’s worth, the woman who plays the teenage girl is 22 and the woman who plays the ex wife is 35.
