Cate Blanchett is a truly incredibly actress, but I can’t think of many people less suited to play Lucille Ball.

Yes, but why was she in court to begin with? If she wasn’t doing her job, why wasn’t she just fired and replaced.
So here’s the deal. I live in Canada - specifically Nova Scotia. Last winter I had about a foot of sunlight peeking through between the mountain of snow outside and the balcony of the apartment above me - that foot provided ALL of the natural light I got in my apartment for the months of February and March.
Umm, Jesus Effing Christ. You warned me, and I looked anyway, and now I know better.
So I’m clearly missing something. Is there some reason she was put on trial and jailed instead of just fired? Last time I checked, if you don’t do your job, you get fired.
Piss off with your Zachary Levi hate. He is fucking delightful.
I feel like the executive department at FOX is just a cigar smoke filled room full of old white guys, and one token young guy who raises his hand and says, “What if the blacks are actually killing cops and not the other way around?” And then an old white guy starts doing an evil laugh, and then Elizabeth Hasselbeck…
I feel like a show like Fashion Police should only have true blue comedians as commentators. Anything else is just Mean Girls on steroids.
I’m on board with all of the points made here. I just think it’s really important to recognize that sex work isn’t all about agency. Yes, there are some women who are in sex work because that’s what they want and it works for them, and more power to them. But there are many more women who haven’t chosen that lifestyle…
The sizing for ModCloth is super hit and miss, but the styles are great. I would love to be able to try things on in a brick and mortar store.
Doctors recommend children nurse until they’re at least two. The problem here is not a nursing toddler, it’s an idiot/dangerous driver.
I know it’s totally not the point, but the first people I think of when picturing women who are not straight (famous people, obvs.) are like, Ellen and Portia, Sasha Mallory from SYTYCD, Ruby Rose, Cara Delevingne, etc, etc, etc. I really can’t say straight women have the market cornered on being gorgeous.
The last funeral I went to was for my partner’s grandmother, who died after about 7 weeks of liver failure. Her sisters had been in town for several weeks to be with her, but had to go home to the other side of the country before she passed away, and couldn’t make it back out for the funeral.
I can think of very few instances where a person who is at fault in a traffic incident should serve time for anything - basically only if they did it on purpose or were somehow impaired.
Teens post every thought that enters their mind, and the repost every meme they thing is moderately funny. And then, if you dare to point out that it’s inappropriate/offensive/sexist/rude/etc., they act like you’re the problem.
any freshman who’s taken a class on contemporary sexuality knows that there are different kinds of love
It’s all okay as long as they don’t have to see gays kissing on air. That’s the real threat to the wellbeing of American children.
Yeah, I’m willing to bet this guy would not be so cool with his wife getting it somewhere else. He wants his doting wife and a hot girlfriend on the side.
Can we please just dispense with the whole “I don’t believe in monogamy” garbage? Look, if you can’t/don’t want to be monogamous, don’t be, but many - most - people do not struggle with this. It’s not a “concept” it’s a choice, and presumably something you choose when you commit to someone.
How safe those young women must feel their first time away from home.
