Do you think they believe their own bullshit? I always guessed that they just wanted their side...no matter how shitty...to stay in power. On one hand I hope they’re not so stupid to believe their own hypocrisy but I really don’t know anymore.

Politicians have become way more conservative because of small, loud donors but the general public is far more liberal...or at least less conservative...than Democratic and repub politicians admit/acknowledge.
