Historically, things like beer and cars have been seen as the realms of men. Recently, those societal norms are being challenged, and there are way more women getting degrees in science and engineering, drinking and brewing beer, power-lifting, etc.

Some shelters have legally binding contracts stating that you will return a problem animal to them.

As a dog rescuer I will say that if the shelter is worth anything at all they will know that he should not be going to a new home.

I’m sorry for your experience with your dog. I have a friend who fosters Great Danes who just recently had a similar experience - he had found his forever home, but she was watching him over a weekend while his new family was out of town, and at the very end of his stay with her he attacked and almost killed another…

With all the recent bear stories, they are my new favorite animals.
