I’m in the pro-Hillary camp and it annoys the fuck out of me. It completely ignores where Bernie’s actual support is coming from and who is energized behind him. People like me want the Bernie supporters to vote for HIllary when she likely wins the nomination. Thinking of that support as a all dudes isn’t helpful.

Yeah, that’s exactly it. And there’s a role for that. I don’t begrudge people their passion to right a lot of wrongs in society (speaking of Bernie supporters, Tea Partiers either have misplaced anger or are upset because people are trying to right wrongs that benefit them).

I should add that I like that Bernie has moved the political debate leftward after conservatives pushed it rightward for so long, and that he injected economic inequality into mainstream political discourse in a big way. But at the end of the day, he’s a show candidate, not a serious one.

One thing I’ll give to McCain, he has fought the crazies on his party on this with vigor and more credibility than they can ever hope to have.
