I think Bernie’s figures are still off, BUT, New START only obligates reductions in deployed strategic weapons (warheads and delivery vehicles). We’ll still be paying for maintenance on non-deployed weapons, tactical systems, and decommissioned warheads…

The rest of the mostly-Western coalition have carried out 2,000 beyond that. Then there’s the Jordanians, Saudis, and Iraqis…
