Scenes like that are the spice of Star Wars. Heck, we could remove Jabba’s palace. Would that make Return of the Jedi a better movie? I don’t think so.

Besides that scene was necessary. The greatest theme of The Last Jedi is failure and Finn and Rose totally failed on that mission. And that planet looked amazing!
