Neither Swype nor Swiftkey have been released in the App Store yet. I assume it is just a matter of minutes/hours today.

Swiftkey's website states that the app is free, and they have publicly said it is free. I assume there are in-app purchases available?

So, it appears that the App update failure is occurring with more apps today. Not sure what is going on...

Apple has rolled out their CDN, so I bet bandwidth speeds are better than past years.

I installed the iOS 8 Gold Master on my iPhone 5 and iPad Air last week. So far, I enjoy the extra features of the program. The continuity feature, which some previews have advised as being unavailable, works without problems. It threw me for a loop last week to have an inbound call show up on my iPad. My favorite

I doubt Apple will get rid of the lighting port anytime soon. The wireless charging would be an additional feature. Who knows, this is all speculation.

Correct. The protocol being used for wireless charging has not been explained, so opening up the hardware on the watch will reveal a lot.

5s for Security (touch ID).

You may be correct. I recall reading a patent application by Apple that uses the NFC chipset for wireless charging. I'm sure we will know more once the Apple Watch starts shipping next year, allowing people to open up the hardware and examine it.

I personally prefer iOS to Android. To each his own. I do understand and appreciate that other manufacturers make good phones. Competition is good.

True. And, I bet the 6s will also receive wireless charging, resulting in me grudgingly forking over more money to Apple. Le sigh.

Other sources have stated that Apple's lead time on sapphire panel displays slipped by a few weeks, resulting in making it unavailable for the iPhone 6.

Whooosh.

As part of new security laws, POS machines and merchants are being required to upgrade their systems. They are already investing in new infrastructure, and Apple Pay simply leverages existing NFC systems. Merchants are not spending extra money on Apple Pay, unless you consider previous NFC efforts to be a waste of

Greed, as they say, is good.

Outdated specs? It has the best processor on the market, and it isn't even close. Of course, you may be a little surprised and confused to find out that there is more to processing power than clock speed. Benchmark tests demonstrably showed the A7 to be more powerful than competing Android processors, and the A8 is

How much could I expect to get for a brand new iPhone 5 (32GB, Sprint)? I took mine in to the Apple store a few weeks ago for the free battery/power button replacement, and they said they couldn't repair the phone, and thus gave me a brand new one. It is in near mint condition.

if you live in one of the cities that supports Sprint's TD-LTE Band 41 (Spark) service, you should definitely consider going with Sprint. The bandwidth speeds with Spark are estimated at 40-60 Mbps (with an average of 12-15 Mbps). Gigaom recently did a speed test of Spark in NYC, and the tester received download

Are you sure you don't have the 5GB data plan? I just looked up the Jump plan on the Tmo website, and the jump plan with unlimited data comes to $105 per month.

Sincere question: why would the protruding lense be a dealbreaker? Asthetics? Fear of breakage? To each his own, just curious what puts you off on that.
