So... just a patent grab by Verizon? Why keep the Intel employees?

People accepting the overstep of authority is one reason that the NSA and surveillance state has been allowed to proliferate.

But he just gave up the entire contents of his phone. They could easily find something to tie him to another crime, such as a text message to his pot dealer. Moral of the story: never voluntarily give up your privacy to authorities.

That's why you always demand a lawyer immediately when being arrested. Unless they arrested him on the spot, they have no right to force him out of a public place.

probable cause means they can search without a warrant. If the person had his phone password protected, then it would require a court order to unlock (he could refuse to protect his 5th Amendment right).

Guy should have refused to turn over his phone password information (if he had it locked). 5th Amendment right against self incrimination.

Totally something Randy would do. He then ends up getting glass implanted into his skin, so that it can't be removed.

Then frankly, they don't deserve to be parents. Religious objections aside (that's a whole different discussion), there is no reason to skip vaccinations for your children. it's irresponsible, and borders on child abuse.

Apple should just launch their own satellite internet service. Seriously. They can afford it, and the technology exists to push 100Mbps+ speeds via satellite.

So, if Intel had no content lined up, I'm guessing that they simply had a good infrastructure/UI in place? I feel bad for all the Intel employees that got shuffled off to Verizon, only to find themselves out of a job in 2 years.

I wish all the anti-vaccine fundamentalists would just slit their wrists. They could call it a ceremonial bloodletting.

I should put that on my business card.

Fuck you commie. The Beatles are as American as Apple Pie. They pulled themselves up by their bootstraps.

The answer's Ringo, right?

The comments section on the article you linked made me lose a little faith in humanity. Good to know that the blaze is a conspiracy looney bin.

Thanks for ruining the only reason I opened this article, asshole.

Thank you for getting rid of the socialist units of measure in the title (it's still in the URL, however). The rest of the article is still mumbo jumbo. Excuse me while I look up a Chrome extension to automatically convert metric to United States customary units.

WOOOO. No mention of email or text records?
