That's not factually accurate. It didn't do a restore when I installed the GM last week, and I've never experienced the phone having to redownload music, videos, contacts, etc.

I agree. It was the easiest iOS upgrade I've experienced yet. People should be regularly backing up their phone, regardless of any update availability.

I had no less than 4 micro cables break at the connector on my EVO 4G in two years. Been using one lightning cable to charge two ios devices without issue. IMO, microUSB is very flimsy.

People are so quick to give Apple shit for changing their connector, but how many have Samsung, HTC, etc been through in the past decade? You can't deny that Apple's lightning connector is superior to microUSB (plugging in at night in total darkness on the first attempt For The Win).

Considering the previous connector lasted for 6+ years (at least) and the new connector is easily the best one on the market, I'm thinking it will be awhile.

Initially, I agreed with you. But, surprisingly, I got used to the GUI changes must faster than I anticipated. I upgraded my iPad first to the GM and by the next day I was ready to upgrade my phone bc ios6 looks stale in comparison, IMO.

I've been playing with the GM on my ipad and iPhone for the past couple of days, and I really like ios7 thus far. It's a necessary improvement.
