Are you me? I have exactly this same experience with this show… I did so love it when I was in primary and secondary school in London. And Maria was SO hot… I was terribly disappointed when they replaced her for Mimi Labonq.

As far as I can tell, Benedict Cumberbatch has had EXACTLY the same voice coach as Laurie for his role in Dr. Strange. It's uncanny how much Cumberbatch's American accent sounds like Laurie's American accent.

Actually, you're right. Especially 'August and Everything After' is still pretty great, with songs like 'Anna Begins' and 'Round Here'. Any album improves with backing vocals by Maria McKee though.

I love this album and I love most of Jeff Buckley's output. Bought the CD at a time when I thought girls would like me just a bit more if they saw the CD's I listened to (see also Tori Amos and, god forbid, Counting Crows), but I ended up becoming a pretty big fan.
