It was indeed the one at 66th and B'way: our hotel was on W 77th Street, so it was within walking distance.

My only experience ever with Tower Records was on my very first visit to the US and New York. Unfortunately, that visit was late in 2006, so the Tower Records I visited (on Broadway) was in a sad state, already having been partly closed and with the only CD's on offer the remainders of the sales that had gone before.

Or ElDan?

Part 3: The Hawthorne Effect

Not actually meant as any sort of joke at all, but Nick Cave's album 'The Good Son' seemed so unfortunately appropriate to listen to today, after hearing this news…

Reading this news earlier today made me feel nauseous. Such an unimaginably tragedy for the Cave family. Nick Cave only recently finished his 'Push The Sky Away' tour after a good two years on the road: I can only guess how relieved his family and he himself must have been to finally spend some quality time together.

Yeah, we drove all the way through Pigeon Forge and it was pretty awful! It reminded us of the cheapest touristy parts of Orlando, combined with the gaudiest parts of Vegas. Luckily, we stayed out of town in a more rurally located inn, which was pretty great (except for the fact that the grounds housed an incredibly

Speaking as a former Blur fan, I have to say they've dropped further down than even U2… Bono's voice has gone, but Damon's was never great and it is actually grating nowadays.

Also, one of the more valuable (actually, to be honest Reflektor is pretty great).

When I once bought tickets for a Kula Shaker, the woman from the ticket office thought I wanted tickets for Goulash Acher…

So true. I still remember my own surprise when it turned out it was the very same Crispian Mills who was responsible for 'A Fantastic Fear…'.
I also know back in the day everyone used to remember having had the hots for Crispian's mother, Hayley Mills.

So true… And to think I totally loved Kula Shaker; in fact they were the first proper Britpop band I ever saw live (No Way Sis supported by Slur was my actual first Britpop concert). I did get all of their CD's and I did see a reunion concert like, 10 years ago or so. Tattva is still a truly great song though.

I'm ashamed to say this was the first SinJin that came to my mind…
