That’s not true. Trucks are a little taller than they used to be, but in terms of width they are the same and length still depends on cab and bed configuration but they aren’t much longer than they used to be. Full size trucks have always been big and they can’t get any wider than they are without getting width

Well, Ford did have a thing for Hitler...

Well, value is starting to mean something else. If you want an exotic car experience, a Corvette won’t give it to you... But neither will a 911. 911s aren’t exactly rare cars, and the silhouette says sports car, but I don’t think most people would call it an exotic. Especially with how much Porsche has been watering

I thought you said the Porsche was the best bang for the buck, and that there’s no better value?

Nobody, literally nobody buys a 911 over a Corvette because it has back seats. And the faster models don’t even have back seats.

Like the Jeep Wrangler.

“Help! My Demon is possessed, it’s trying to kill me!”

don’t think a clutch pedal will make any modern truck exciting to drive. I bet the new Raptor, with all its power and (gasp) paddle shifters, is way more fun to drive than a manual Tacoma.

According to this, a 1971 426 Hemi made 350 net hp. More than a Pentastar, but not exactly pulling a modern Charger apart, especially with its 4 speed vs the modern 8.

“If USDA Certified Organic had a sportscar category, the 2019 86 TRD Special Edition would be its benchmark.”

I think you spend too much time around Dusty. Or maybe not enough.

Fancy Kristen is one of the bourgeois elitists that are keeping the working class down.

That link doesn’t talk about the Charger, or the fact that gross hp and net hp and wheel hp are different things.

The 1969 Charger 440 Magnum had a gross output of 375hp, which is about 300 net hp, which is how modern cars are rated.

I think you underestimate what the word ‘Yenko’ means for the value of a used Chevy.

Oh yeah, supercars are known for holding their value so well, that’s why you’re talking about buying something that has already lost $100k in value right?

A V6 2018 Challenger has more power than that 1969 Charger so I guess the thing that has changed is the amount of power modern cars have?

A 1,000 horsepower Corvette made by a guy named Mr. Hamburger has to be the most American thing ever, right?

I like what Tom is thinking, but I’d go with a GT40 replica from Race Car Replicas. It’s almost identical to the old GT40 cars, and it’s infinitely cool.

The uptake? The GT is sold out many times over without taking any new orders. Nobody cares if the Corvette is faster because the ZR1 isn’t a built from the ground up race car.
