The Raptor is on it’s own frame, with a unique engine, engine mounts, suspension mounts, axles and more. But obviously that’s not important. The only thing it shares is the cab.
Working with Jason must be really fun. And by fun I mean exasperating.
On a prepped drag strip maybe, but on the street? Nah.
Are you also proud that your ‘02 Accord gets better mileage than a new M3 while ‘getting the job done’?
It’s weird what ~16 PSI of boost and 4.10 gears can do to a V6 that’s overloaded, huh David? You don’t know exactly how much weight you were pulling or had in the bed (and were probably over the payload capacity), you were using cheap, shitty gas, and you were going fast. Why you got terrible fuel economy isn’t hard…
While making a whopping 285 horsepower. The Raptor is really afraid of that thing...
That’s really not far off.
She had the same name because she’s the same person? Alanis is a fearless badass.
Why? Curse words are custom designed for this purpose.
Arrogant but not entirely unfounded. A lot of moto magazines rely heavily on manufacturer advertisements and as a result, reviewers were always hesitant to tear into a bike. A lot of reviews just repeated specs, going over minute technical differences between models instead of talking about how it is to ride the bike.…
You might not have liked his style, but he gave us something badly needed. The kind of freedom Jalopnik offers is just not very common in motorcycle media, and he was building something pretty special here because of that. Most motorcycle journalism until pretty recently did suck. It’s gotten better lately but…
No, he was fired. Here’s his post on the matter:
Oh, good idea! Let me just get a job at Jalopnik and start doing that. Or they could have just not fired Sean Macdonald and kept a good moto journalist on staff. Because Lanesplitter right now is shit. It has been since Sean stopped working here.
I wonder what’s on Lanesplitter today? Hmm, three motorcycle crashes, two of which were not the fault of the rider. Way to go. Nothing about Chad Reed’s stunt in St Louis, no reviews on bikes or gear, nothing but crashes.
