So why do all the Challenger Hellcats on Fuelly seem to be averaging in the mid teens? The car is rated at 22 mpg highway, and while the 8 speed might be able to beat that, there’s no way you’ll average 25 mpg in a Hellcat unless you’re a rabid hypermiler who bought the wrong car.
You can hypermile a Tesla to well over it’s rated range too, but I know if I was driving a Hellcat I wouldn’t be getting 25 mpg in it. With the Tesla, you could at least set Autopilot and minimize the temptation to stab it all the time.
The emphasis is on range, though. The Model S’ biggest battery pack has grown from 85 kwh to 100 kwh, and adding AWD has benefited both the range and the performance at the same time. Unlike in an ICE car, there is no efficiency detriment from adding performance capability. The fact that it can launch like a Bugatti…
the E63 is a bit down on power, and the performance reflects that. However, the Tesla is rated to go 335 miles on a charge. The Mercedes can go about 50 miles farther.
How many ICE sedans with that much power have that much range? A Charger Hellcat only has a 19 gallon tank, if it got 18 mpg highway it’s only going about 20 miles farther than this Tesla without stopping.
It’s Tradition, that makes it OK!
No $10k junkyard motor is going to give you a reliable 8 second street car. No way.
The Beetle was designed by a Jew named Josef Ganz.
The supercab F150 actually has more rear legroom the the doublecab Taco. 33.5" vs 32.6"
Unfortunately they also underrate emissions.
Yeah, 40k into the motor alone. Those pro street cars aren’t cheap.
Still, under $30k for the most capable vehicle you can buy, other than the more expensive version of itself. A (more expensive) vehicle like TRD Pro is not as capable.
285 hp V6, manual trans, soft or hard top convertible, 50/50 weight distribution, 4 wheel drive standard, base price in low $20k range. How many cars can you buy with those specs?
37"s? Anything less than 40" is unacceptable. The office rock garden/parking lot is pretty hard core.
Probably $15k. Jeep resale value is ridiculous.
$250 a month to insure a Yugo? Just how many times a year are you expected to wreck this thing?
