To everyone in this thread—she is referring to moving films from one soon-to-be obsolete format to the next in a a continual and yes, expensive, game of hopscotch. Consider all the neglect by studios when all they had to do was store a few prints in proper conditions—now imagine them going to the trouble to stay ahead

Speaking for myself, the Brion bootleg of Extraordinary Machine was an unbeatable entry point. Her production is sometimes a little mall-friendly (current album excepted), and it was just the ticket for me to be able to get past that elsewhere.
