The last time I tried one of these that was suggested by Lifehacker it screwed up my laptop. I'm just glad that the System Restore functionality on Vista works far better than it does on XP.

Does anyone know what settings would be needed to duplicate what one would get in a standard definition video from iTunes?
I just went to try this and when I try to sign in (apparently Facebook is the only sign in option) I am given a Facebook message that that site is not allowed or restricted or something before I can even put anything in.
Isn't that an oxymoron?
@tamoko: Yes, I agree. Tough to use as a tramp stamp though.
I currently use Astrid with Remember The Milk but I'm not seeing much benefit over the simplicity of the default Google Tasks. I know Lifehacker loves RTM but I find it much more difficult to use and just about as reliable.
I was in high school the last time this trend was trendy. I really wish it had stayed there (in the late 80s and early 90s).
This is funny you polled this question. I used to think I had two weeks every year but just at the end of last year my employer explained this and I found out I get 4 weeks every year. Now I don't feel so bad taking the day off.
I've never had much of an issue removing the stickers on my laptops. I really don't care for them because they're in suck poor locations that they're uncomfortable when trying to actually use my lappy.
When Apple says that it will be available today (Wednesday) did they mean that it will be available tomorrow (Thursday)?
@bailorg: Yep, my Windows 3.11 install was all on floppies but my Win95 upgrade was on CD ROM. I still remember the Weezer video that included and how cool I thought it was to watch a video on my PC.
Makes me nostalgic. I ordered my first ever PC from Dell which arrived the day before Win 95 was released so the upgrade disk arrived the following day. I upgraded and then spent 6 hours on the line with Dell tech support reformatting and reloading the OS because the Windows 3.11 video driver utility was incompatible…
That's cool but I still feel like Google Earth for Android is nothing more than a space hog. I played with it when I first got my Droid and uninstalled it when I needed space.
A limit of 6 tabs? No HTML5? Add this to the list of "limits" that they're shipping Windows Mobile 7 with. Except for games and music WM7 feels incomplete.
@suprfluo001: Faster than Froyo? I find that hard to believe.
@ihityouinthenose: Have you noticed batter life issues? I uninstalled the original beta because it was killing my battery faster than the Facebook app update.
I like this more than "site:lifehacker.com". Less typing.
@djsmiley2k: It was mentioned that a few of the phones will be upgradeable but from the sound of it the Torch is barely powerful enough which doesn't bode well for their unspecified phones that will get the upgrade.
Are you kidding me? BB mandated that the cheapest app (other than free) had to be $2.99?!?! Wow, that explains the crappy prices on the paltry selection. I like Google's methodology where the app developer can set any price.
@SquareWheel: I do. If I like a product enough I have no issue "Like"-ing it on Facebook although there aren't many that I do promote. For all the cool stuff Lifehacker has shown me without charging me a single penny I have no issues doing this, unless I already have (which I think is the case).
