Where to begin? Was it the fact that they didn't let many people in to use it until long after the initial announcement? Or that most people only had access to the public waves that were so large they became too slow to use? Those were the reasons why it never worked for me and why I never recommended it to anyone I

I just updated and aside from the *long* time it is taking to re-sync all of my accounts everything appears to be working well. I still prefer LauncherPro to the new home screen.

Integrating VOIP into the browser shouldn't be any more difficult than the Video chat plug-in they released for Google Talk in the browser. At least until HTML 5 does what they want to do.

How do you get the forward *and* back buttons on the music? I get the same pause/play and skip forward button on mine.

I understand the desire to make this a web only app but why not release a browser plugin like they did for video chat inside the browser? That would be a nice stopgap until HTML5 allows them to do what they want.

Excellent idea but I *have to* mention that the USB hub pictured is a big steaming pile of... I've had at least 3 Belkin hubs that have all failed prematurely. I now have a D-Link one that is still rockin' on (longer than all of my Belkin hubs combined).

@eleraama: That's controlled in the settings. You can have it show you either your GVoice number or the actual number of the person calling you.

So I've tried it but aside from the "cool" factor I don't see much benefit here over the alternatives. It may run in the browser but it still requires a plug-in download and doesn't recognize any playlists that have already been created in other players like Windows Media Player or iTunes (and the site says it reads

@Xorlathor: Near monopoly? Not really unless you're on AT&T. Now if they had the same grip on Verizon as they do on AT&T then you'd probably be right.

I believe I read about it here first but I'm a huge fan of Salling Media Sync. I use iTunes for my iPod but want to sync with other phones (I originally used it for a couple of Nokias and now I use it on my Droid). It doesn't duplicate my iTunes library in its own library (like Songbird and doubleTwist do). It's

I'm not entirely sure why add-ons couldn't do the same thing without another browser to deal with.

I'd text my boss but other people's? I'm not so sure.

Wow, this is kinda like iPhone 4: nearly all of this is already being done in other browsers and most of that is done better.

I've been an Audible customer for a long time and I expect that things won't change much with Android support. Despite being owned by Amazon they appear to not have access to any of their resources since they develop these apps at a glacial pace.

There's a few things I'd like to see: Ability to add folders to organize playlists. Faster syncing from iTunes into DT: it takes WAY too long to pull that data in from iTunes. Make suto-playlists auto update in DT as well so we don't have to sync just to get those updated. I have a lot more but...

I'd love to find out how to enable copying from one music news site that apparently disabled it.

Guys, this is a very novel approach (and one worth trying out at least once) but I have to say that I'm not so excited by the Live Wave. I'm not so interested in the comments but the meat of the actual presentation.

This, to me, puts Hotmail into the same category as Yahoo! Mail, finally: its cool to use but bloated.
