Yep, they use CNC mills. Although I think Apple uses regular (cheaper to use) 3 axis mills for its unibody macs.
5-axis mills are essentially 3D printers with metalworking capabilities. In this video Daishin Seiki engineers use one to carve a metal helmet out of a block of aluminum. The technology has been around for years.
