Get Pam Anderson in there and then you’ve really got something!

That would make total sense, as a record is black, flat and has lines on it!

I’ve never heard of this dude but why did he get shot at so much?

They are very much playing themselves by posting direct comparison shots. Don’t invite a comparison you’re going to lose.

I just really want to see if they have the guts to go with the obvious:

Possibly both. The actor for being reckless with a weapon he’d not personally inspected. I stress this is not his responsibility, and I personally do not think Baldwin is responsible for the shooting itself, I think it will nonetheless be something hashed out in court, namely does the fact that he took AD at his word

The “armorer mentor” thing sounds like another misdirection attempt from her lawyers like the conspiracy theory was. They are really doing her no favors making all these public statements. They achieve nothing aside from making themselves and her seem incompetent. The only statements she should be giving at this point

Announcements can be hugely useful. The terrifying thing about crushes is that the closer you are to the crush, the less you can affect what is happening - the decisions that cause the crush are caused by the people at the back of the crowd, who often have no idea that the crush is going on or that they’re

Lots to investigate:

Regular barriers? Standing has been banned in football (soccer) stadiums in the UK for years because of tragedies due to surging fans. They’re starting to bring it back now, but under “safe standing” conditions, which usually means there’s a big metal rail at waist height between every row or two, so it’s impossible to

Although Porter does owe Styles an apology (and still appears to because this sounded like a non-apology), the issue with the cattiness here isn’t that cattiness should be a surprise, it’s why Porter’s comments made the news. From my perspective they were disheartening and made the news because the media is eager to

There’s a whole other can of worms with criticism regarding Erivo, which shows the limitations of this type of choice, if that was the case. But neither of these choices really wow me, to be honest.

Yeah, critics complain about Marvel movies all looking the same, but unless you’re watching Community, you expect most episodes in a TV series to have the same visual style.

I think this is some of the better MCU/Eternals coverage I’ve read, even if in the end I disagree with a lot of it (with the huuuuuuuuge caveat that I haven’t seen Eternals). It was very thoughtful, and I enjoyed reading it. That said: the Branagh Dutch angles story is very amusing, but he was wrong to lean on them

But he did make Creed, which had a sizeable budget, was connected to lore, and had to be big and crowdpleasing (and a bit quippy). He also showed a flair for staging action in it. Zhao has nothing like that on her resume.

This is why I’ve never quite jived with that Edgar Wright quote. I think Edgar didn’t want to make an MCU film, which was different than what a Marvel film was at that time. I think Marvel would be perfectly fine with an Edgar Wright film.

Zhao may be an MCU fan, but based on her previous work isn’t she basically a broccoli salesperson who’s been hired to shill Big Macs? No shade on either food group, but I’m not sure the sales skills are entirely transferable.

There’s a lot of “Eternals is bad but I can’t put any blame on Zhao” stuff from critics right now.

Tangentially, for all the high concept mystery box shows that emerged in the wake of Lost, I feel like the shows that most fully understood the show’s appeal and were most successful in employing its narrative techniques are Orange Is the New Black and This Is Us. While the strange occurrences and onion layered
