Yeah, a lot of people like to downplay how disruptive VR can be. The average consumer is not going to go crazy about an experience that requires them to not only put on a headset but also separates them from anything else going on in the room. I’m sure lots of hardcore gamers are thrilled for it (the current VR…
Hmm, yes, why bother reviewing something you have an opinion about?
because it’s important to tell people who like MacFarlane that they have bad taste.
I also hate my gaming experience to involve fiddling with tons of devices, cables, headphones, batteries, and then taking it all off again when I want to grab some crispies. Also, it looks silly and isn't very social.
I suspect that Nintendo’s statement that so long as VR remains an experience only one person can enjoy, there is no real value in it for gaming purposes, will be true. Everything that we have seen comes across more as tech demos than actual games, and the buy-in price is ridiculous for the average person.
I hope it’s a fad. Just like 3D movies these days. I can’t do it. I wear glasses and it never works out right. I hate having 2 pairs of glasses on at the movies, so I’m sure I’ll hate having a giant headset on over my glasses too.
Good. Until this situation is fixed, they should. I was hoping this would happen.
The situation is unacceptable, but I appreciate they at least understand that, and are seemingly at least taking a first step in making appropriate responses and reparations.
You remember when video games didn’t suck? Because I don’t.
I understand the frustration but people are getting way to bent out of shape over this. Most importantly, Steam wise it is easy to get your money back... Even though you will buy it later when it is fixed. Further company didn’t purposefully release a broken game. From what I read this version was outsourced and it…
Oh goody
“Lets release a broken product because DEADLINES, fuck the people who’ll buy it first.”
Because, like, they had NO time to do it right in their 3 year dev cycle. Right ?
:sigh:
These fucking publishers man.
That is an incredibly bold step. I applaud that they’re willing to do this, I just wish they would have had the guts to simply delay the game on PC. People would have been upset, but it would have been better in the long run.
Reading some of the comments the fanboy goggles are strongly foggy on this one... Holy shit... they sold a broken game and ppl are like “YEAH ROCK ON U DID THE RIGHT THING BY TAKING IT DOWN” fact is if it wasn’t for the loud obnocious toxic fumes of the internets they would continue to sell that piece of shit...
The gaming community as a whole needs to stop the PC vs Console/ Microsoft vs Sony/ whatever nonsense, and start hammering into these companies for thinking it’s okay to send out a product like this.
Chances are, people will just continue the flame war nonsense...but it’s worth a shot, right?
right?
They should also give out the following address:
To the PC community that tried to fix our mistakes. Thank you for trying, but please understand that we are a multi-million dollar corporation; it is unfair to ask you to fix our fuck ups on your barely affordable rigs when we can easily obtain a dozen people on payroll…
that was completely unexpected.
She put herself in the book too; the character is Totalia Transparenza Jealousbeetch.
My approximate reaction to that name.
Maybe a little of column A and a little of column B. There is a substance involved somewhere.
My nose is tickled from the cocaine wafting off of that profile.
