Though I've never hated modern Simpsons as much as some on the AV Club, it has objectively never quite reached the standards of the glory days, but it is nice that every so often we get an episode like this that shows the flashes of brilliance in writing that have made the show what it is today.
Yeah the structure and

Traaaaansition.

I guess it goes to show just how good a year for music it's been that you could quite easily make another list of at least twenty albums that are all just as good as the ones on this list. My personal favourites though:

They will, he's without question one of the best artists working in any genre today, both GKMC and TPAB will be lauded and remembered for a long time to come.

Would watch compulsively regardless of overall quality/10.

As an Indian who's closest circle includes a Bangladeshi guy, a Sri Lankan guy, and a Pakistani girl, we can all get along when it comes down to it.

Nanjiani and Aziz Ansari need to team up asap, would love to see what the two of them could come up with together.

Was hoping for a mention of the visuals in this review but I suppose they are easy to overlook given how outstanding all the other aspects of the production were. This episode almost put me in mind of the opening few episodes of season 3 of Hannibal; sumptuously shot, perfectly framed, a dreamlike haze over everything

Going off Whedon's comments about editing I feel there was probably more expository dialogue or scene setting that was lost in the final cut for issues of timing. It's a long enough film as it is, so sacrifices had to be made somewhere, which in turn likely led to the slightly disjointed feel of some of the sequences.

I get what you mean, as fan service it's largely redundant because the most ardent Marvel devotees will see it coming a mile off (I know I did), and for the general audience it's just a throwaway line that doesn't really mean anything.
But I like to think it's just for a bit of fun, when it doesn't get in the way of

“I am a leaf on the wind” TOO GODDAMN SOON MAN.

Screw the Clara haters, for me personally she's been the best companion of new Who so far, the most human, rounded, likeable, and well acted Tardis traveller in quite some time. While I agree with the reviewer that it doesn't quite feel like she's gone just yet, the scenes leading up to her facing the raven, as well

Yeah I agree, that scene really jarred in Age of Ultron because it was such an obvious set up for Thor Ragnarok that had little to do with the film it took place in, but from a writer's perspective it must be tricky at times to balance telling the story in the present with setting threads for what comes ahead.

It bugs me a little, but it seems to be echoing the overarching MCU in that sense as well, with the little teases and slight builds to Thanos in each subsequent film leading up to Infinity War. Though this is on a much, much smaller scale within that universe of course.

C+ seems harsh. I don't think it was torture porn at all, rather it's Kilgrave losing all restraint and lashing out because of what Jessica did to him, keeping him in the room and forcing him to watch the experiments that were done on him. It's clear from watching that his actions are being driven by fury and

Yeah I'm with you on that, you could always tell on Who (bar a few exceptions like The Satan Pit) that he was holding back, but on this show I think he's been given free reign to fully unleash the whole manic charmer thing that he does so well.

Exactly what came to mind when I was watching this, Hannibal and Will Graham's twisted relationship was one of the best things I've seen on television and this series is following closely behind with Kilgrave and Jessica.

I almost, almost want them to team up. Tennant is so goddamn charismatic as Kilgrave that you want there to be a redemption, you want him to see the error of his ways and repent, and there's little glimmers that he might. But then he goes and does something utterly psychotic like making the staff keep their eyes open,

Some may even call it an impossible planet

Thoroughly enjoying this series so far. It may not lean on action as much as Daredevil did, but thus far it's been tightly plotted, convincingly psychological, and has built up a few relationships (most notably between Jessica and Luke) that feel organic and almost certain to lead to awesome things down the road.
But
