I actually did like H20 myself, but I have a love for cheesy horror films so I don’t trust my own judgement.

Making FB itself open-source would be a different animal, though. It’d allow multiple FB clones, all unique within their own circles. Google Plus was a FB clone, no one adopted it because all my friend are not there.

I feel like this “batman” type approach is not worth the cost. OK, you can quibble on the varying degrees of quality of the previous movies, but it still feels like not really respecting the thing you claim to love.

I vaguely recall H20. I don’t think it specifically undid anything prior to it.

The few people who saw H20 are probably the type of dedicated fans that are very up to date about this production and have their explanation. And considering that number is probably very small, most of this movie’s audience won’t notice there’s been a retcon.

That GIF up top is a bit over 2 seconds and has at least 10 cuts.

Well it’s a bit more than RSS. In the way it’s a bit more than mailing lists, or meetup pages, etc.

This is why the solution is not to regulate FB, but rather to find a way to do what FB does without it needing to be “owned” by any company.

Batman should be his own best man. It’d be the most Batman thing to do.

You would think an eccentric bazillionaire marrying a criminal would actually be useful for a secret identity.

He’s... um... well, uh, look, there’s no easy way to put this so I’ll just say it. He’s wearing a Papelbon jersey.

An entire article about a tackle at Fenway without the John Marzano highlight! That’s not right.

Immortality is a metaphor about starting comic series at 1 again even after swearing the last time they’d preserve numbering.

My immediate thought was how much that looks like the Ultimate version of the Green Goblin, which makes a lot of sense for Miles’ universe.

Toys bringing a template for imaginary story telling is nothing new. That’s all these games are. What if I wanted my Decepticons to win? What if Cobra Commander was right all along? Maybe Skeletor should get to rule the castle.

It gets diluted whenever there are more of one extreme on the ballot than there are ranks to be made.

Part of me doesn’t understand why there was so much disappointment on the first half. A game mode, some skins, a map. What more would you want? That sounds like decent content for a month.

Well the trouble is that - from a math point of view - any dilution of votes from a third party is just going to happen again with ranked voting, you just maybe dilute the 2nd rank choice. Say you gave everyone 2 votes (even without a rank, you’re picking 2 for the general election, same way some local ballots say

It feels like the California system is doing ranked voting to a certain degree. It’s designed to get down to only 2 candidates on the final ballot - none of this third party challenger pulling away some votes in the final election, just a simply choice for everyone to make. So while I’m also a fan of pure ranked

When you decide to work together, who picks which one candidate to back?
