I wouldn't expect Aikman to rank above Brady at all. I was just asking the person who posted that breakdown to include an opinion of him. You don't even bother to list Young in your short list, if you're implying Aikman ranks above Young I agree completely. But for the post to have said "Good argument to be made"

I thought Revis wanted a flag because of the Baldwin's left hand to the face.

and yet, Jim Kelly gets forgotten. I'd say that Kelly is the best QB to never win a ring.

What's your take on Brady vs Aikman? Aikman should at least be on that list. (and I know Favre isn't on the list either, but who cares?)

Left out of your bullet list:

Yeah, maybe he's thinking that the added round of playoff games the Patriots had to win some years offsets Brady winning two more conference championships than Montana?

Aha. Got it.

Oh no, Butler knew to be there. They practiced that play. Which again speaks to Belichick's smarts - who knows to practice something so insanely unlikely that every single talking head on the TV last night doesn't think it should have happened?

Yup. Any number of defenders could probably break up that pass (*). The difference here, having someone who has practiced, and improved through practice, that's what turns this into an INT to finish the game.

After all the talk about Belichick over the past two weeks, this comes down to a defensive play that the whole team had been coached on. I think that speaks to his legacy.

I bet that's Peyton and Eli in the shark suits doing some stunt for a commercial.

How long does it take to check the air in a football?

"officials took a ball out of play to weigh it"

I don't think it's so difficult.

Wouldn't his father have to change his name, too?

Edgar Martinez is not stuck behind a glut of better players. Edgar Martinez is stuck behind idiots who don't like designated hitters. It's a shame.

worse than that, a big chunk of Connecticut doesn't get the Patriots today!

Ahhh, the business of the NFL. Thanks for the trophy, now get the hell out!

You can't really compare that first attempt at all with the ref was blowing the whistle during the kick. Anyone's training to stop on the whistle could have affected the kick.

so Fisher decided the odds of this play succeeding were greater than the odds of his defense doing their job. That's rough.
