I’m always surprised at how strongly the city of Philly has quickly come to love Gritty. I mean, look at how juiced that crowd is when he comes out, even in just the gif alone (except for, like, that one guy). Gritty’s more than just a mascot. He’s an icon.
No joke, a great “challenge mode” my brothers and I would do would be to leave one of the controllers unused but give that character the board that gave them a never-ending jet booster. They would zoom ahead, hit a wall, and slowly turn until they zoomed forward again. It was always a blast trying to race them.
But fr, Apex’s ping system is a godsend.

I feel like ARK’s state of development, from Early Access to “Full Launch,” should say everything about the dev’s priorities. ARK was always, from the beginning to present day, badly optimized. It’s the epitome of what happens when a developer gives no effort to polish their product.
