Ahhhhhh!!!! Damn English majors!!!

How to make it a better seller:
1. start with new CTS platform
2. change name to Monte Carlo
3. offer with same engine options as Camaro, make it a bit more plush than the pony car but with similar performance figures. a direct competetor to the charger.
4. PROFIT!
I like my SS, but hated the Chevy crap on it. Thankfully GM was extremely lazy and all it took was a grille swap and emblem change. No more Impalabu questions. Now people ask what the hell is it with the Holden badges.
GM just can’t seem to win. I remember people complaining about the styling of the G8 when it came out too. It didn’t help it got attached to a dying brand, but “enthusiasts” love to say “If only GM made a V8 rear wheel drive sedan, I’d buy one!” Except it has to cheaper than a four-cylinder Accord, better appointed…
I’ve gotten to the point when people ask if my SS is a Malibu or Impala, I just answer yes to both questions. It’s just easier that way.
I love the SS but I highly doubt that it sold what it’s supposed to. In my opinion they should just can the SS and make an actual V8 SS model for the new Impala. I always thought the 10th gen Impala was pretty slick looking, imagine it with some real performance figures under the hood.
The Camaro is on the same platform as the ATS, which has 4 doors.
I hope the SS doesn’t die.
He will just stick a piece of paper in there and call it good. Who needs a gauge? Not Freddy!
i believe most of the ‘clinical’ comments have to do with it’s handling characteristics, not in it’s build quality.
Awesome. Now a Nissan is more AMG than an actual AMG.
I’d love for them to take up driving the tuner cars like they did back in early TG. There’s plenty of 1500-2000hp street cars here in the states just asking for Capt. Slow to pin the throttle and exclaim “GOD ABOVE!”
You bite your tongue. Cool Wall was great, The News was great. Star in a Reasonably Priced Car could have definitely been done away with. But the specials were always the best episodes and most film-like, it sure seems like they’re going to be taking that direction for the entirety of the new series. Much excite.
It’s a running gag with engineers. Here’s Rockwell’s demonstration.
BTW, Jalopnik, your comment system sucks dick.
Why not do some journalism and ask Nissan?
When my son was around 8, he asked what some switch on the dash of my wife’s RAV4 did. (I think it was the dash lights or something.) I told him it armed the ejector seats. His eyes opened wide. “Really??”
Airbags are expensive.
Back in the early 90's when my dad first moved to NYC from Russia, he bought a 1990 Toyota Camry and wired in a fuel pump switch that was hidden under the back seat but reachable from the front seats. He lived in a really bad area so by flicking that switch the car would not start at all. That along with one of those…
Switches the tail lights off.
