Didn’t read all the above comments, and for a second thought you were referring to the actual Pope Francis... Been a long day

You beat me to the punch. I managed to beat it on the Wii Virtual Console, but it was significantly more difficult and relied on me guessing and anticipating than reacting to moves.
Thank you for posting that! I used to get through this game pretty smoothly but when I went back to it through HDMI cables, I could not beat Soda Popinski. Thank you for letting me know it’s not my fault.
I think it’s a bug in the emulation for Punch-Out. I’ve noticed it as well. I have the Virtual Console version for the WiiU, and an original NES hooked up to the same HDTV. On VC, there is a noticeable delay that crops up from Soda Popinski onwards. At first, I thought that it was some kind of controller lag due to…
Back in the early 90s my friend built a sit-down cabinet for the (also timeless) X-Wing computer game, using the stick and throttle lever from an actual fighter jet. Can’t get much closer than that.
Yeah, I hate this shit.
I hate every asshole who made, and continues to make this shit possible.
Good god that Heidi scene gave me tbe biggest laugh I’ve had in weeks. His reaction was straight classic.
I actually really liked this episode, and think it represents a lot more than a “video game tie-in,” which I was initially afraid it would primarily be from the title.
Yup.
Kicking him won’t get you any closer to fucking him.
True, but while it may seem a bit counter-intuitive, your second-hand familiarity with the sight of his body doesn’t give you tacit permission to act familiarly toward it, at least not if you don’t want your body twisted into a shape the coroner will describe as “a human Möbius strip with legs.”
I knew I held on to all those flame embroidered silk shirts for a reason!
These fucking morons can’t even arrange cynical photo op stunts without fucking them up. Every administration does it but is usually not so bumblingly naked and obvious about them (“Mission Accomplished” notably excepted)
So... wait who are you defending here?
The way that reputable journalists collaborated with this guy is sickening.
Or you could read the librarian’s actual response suggesting that donating books to a library in an already wealthy, predominately white neighborhood is dumb, giving suggestions as to better places to choose, but nah the White House’s narrative makes for better clickbait, good job AV Club!
Indeed. If Trump proves anything, it’s that there’s no shortage of morons who’ll cheerfully vote against their own self-interests regardless of logic or morality.
You can say that again.
