I don’t expect it’ll change your mind, but I keep even the narrow mouthed jars and typically to wash them I stuff the wash cloth in them, fill them to about 80% full with soapy water, put the cap on, and then turn them on their side and move them in a circular motion with both hands to get the wash cloth to rotate

As a guy that lives out in the forest like a real manly man, I suspect that these guys largely aren’t because it’s actually difficult, though to me enjoyable, work to do so.

I have the whole series, plus my old SNES and GameBoy. The original NES was the only thing I ever sold. Along with the games it was enough to net me Street Fighter II at the time, plus enough credit for another game. Ended up buying Super Mario Cart eventually.

Where’s the trusty Lodge cast iron?

This is probably how they did The Selenitic Age puzzle in Myst, too.

I do those things too. Or did, back when visiting stores was a thing for me. Sometimes the corral thing is just a huge mess that could hold more if the carts were properly nested and the organizer in me can’t leave it that way.

It’s early but I feel certain that this is the most heartwarming anecdote I’ll read all day.

Keyboard Cat, too.

I see the rest of the country is just catching up to where Coeur d’Alene was at the beginning of June.

As a representative of Generation X that is such a depressing graph. We never had a chance. I’m glad that with our combined powers we and the Millenials might manage now for a while.

I owe 2019 taxes so mine (and more) just went right back where it came from but if I may answer for a couple of my friends, they told me this weekend that they started a cabin fund to build a small structure on some off-grid property that they own. When I inquired whether they started the fund with their TrumpBux the

It’s been the anthem my whole life. In my estimation it’s just that more people are suddenly getting slapped and waking up to that fact.

I looked it up and the tentative answer is yes (dotted line on Google Trends).  Same for March of the Pigs.

Had this in my cart yesterday but waited on the OK from my kids who would be the primary users, as they have previously been looking at a desktop build.  Alas by the time they said yes today the coupon was already expired.  Will have to watch this space more diligently for a similarly good deal in the future.

Your sacrifice to make this article reminded me of this classic:

Heheh, thanks.  I can be overly thrifty.  I don’t even play much these days, it’s mostly for the kids.

I think because of posts like this I’m currently good through 2023.  Still considering this one.

I switched from Nintendo to follow Square. Lots of PS1 memories but the strongest is probably taking the Red Line to the downtown Chicago Toys ‘R’ Us on release morning (I don’t think midnight release parties were a thing back then, or if they were I was unaware) to get FF VII.  Oddly enough that was the last one I
