I worked in food service in high school (movie theater concession stand) only on weekends. At the time I had (then undiagnosed) bronchial pneumonia. I thought this was common enough that a few days of rest would make me better, so I did not see a doctor, but missed 3 days of school that week.

It is not just random strangers. It is people who interact with you as part of your job. Cashiers, baristas, etc.

This is ultimately one of the differences between a conservative and a liberal. People on the conservative side of the spectrum tend to be more authoritarian and will blindly follow authority (whether from a political leader, religious leader, household leader, or even a boss).
