I like Hawley and LOVE Fargo so I’m trusting him to come up with something interesting, but just the fact that it’s part of the “Alien” universe leads me to fear/believe it will not be good. That’s only because I have 35 years of history on my side, though.

The different aesthetics between the films could be explained as a status thing. The ship (and likely the crew) in Prometheus personally belonged to the owner of Weyland Yutani, so he made sure they got the flashier, sleeker stuff.

The big twist is we find out the Xenomorph originated in the deadliest place in the universe: rural Minnesota.

The Star Wars prequels had that annoying problem too with sleeker looking ships that don’t fit the established aesthetic of the other movies.

IIRC the proto-Xenomorph seemed to be created by accident, yeah?

Also all states should have vehicle road worthiness tests.  

I’m not sure about the rest of Europe but in the UK the test is not much more than recognising what road signs mean, being able to follow the speed limits, being able to park in a space, using the main car controls properly, and not crash during the physical test. blaming screens is too easy of an out. There are systemic issues far worse in how we are growing humans.

It all seems to stem from selfishness, overconfidence, lack of empathy, self delusion , impatience and fragile egos. The reason is humans are getting worse in many, but not all, ways. 

Just look around next time you’re driving and note the percentage of drivers with their heads buried in their phones. EVs being ridiculously fast isn’t helping either - Karen screaming at her kids in an SUV that does 0-60 in 4 seconds.
