Surely whatever mocap they used is heavily dated by now, are they still going to use it?

It's was supposed to be released, date and all, almost a decade ago. Not kidding. Like, trailers and everything. And people still claim this isn't a scam. They are constantly "close". Lol.
One thing I sometimes think about is that single player campaign thing they swear they’re still doing. Didn’t they claim to have completed the big name actors performances many years ago? Surely whatever mocap they used is heavily dated by now, are they still going to use it?
I see that we’re into the annual “star citizen is expensive!” article. We do this every year, when they update their “get everything” pack to include the ships and other items released over the past year.
Or, you know, just buy a $60 ship and earn your way in game. I’ve seen people earn literally everything they need…
Perhaps the most ridiculous part isn’t the prices, but that after all this money and all this time, they still haven’t lived up to their original promises. Something that was supposed to happen in 2015.
... and everything surrounding Seattle. And Portland.
I have some bad news for you about everything surrounding Austin.
As if AOC isn’t both an extremist and an idiot.
Yeah, but the low sun angle in AK for most of the year makes them a harder sell and a much longer payoff. Of course if you’re off grid, they’re likely the best choice.
How else can you hand out political pork barrel favors?
We should be doing it all.
Yep. And the first barrier is telling people “look, the power will be out for X hours while we fix..”
It is the political will not the technical aspects.
It’s not that. It’s complicated.
All infrastructure in our country is crumbling. We build cheap and often. Everyone wants to kick every cost down the road. Given the choice of spending a little now, or spending twice as much for something that will last 5 times as long, politicians will choose cheap now every time.
Nah. We’ll do it after we fix all the bridges. /s
Because unless you have multiple acres of land you aren’t powering an EV much less 2. No city or even suburbs would be functional. Skyscrapers are in shade a huge chunk of the day and at noon, obviously get far less sun per sq foot of space with 20 floors and only one roof.
Part of the problem is how the energy sector is incentived to operate. The utilities don’t make money via maintenance, they make money via new construction. Last Week Tonight did an episode on it and it’s a real eye opener.
Nah, there’s just no profit in it like in any upkeep project. If there was some way to make a 12% ROI on this, it’d’ve been done by now.
Lifelong Nashvillian and gun owner here. Irresponsible gun owners and road rage are definitely issues here. I just assume everyone is carrying now, so when I get cut off by some idiot, I just take a breath and let it go. I also don’t get all the people that have gun stickers on their vehicles. Sure, you’re telling…
