Same thing with iceberg lettuce. It has almost no nutritional value at all, not no nutritional value, but less than say romaine which at least has some flavor.  Iceberg is basically for crunch and color.

Nutrition?! Who the hell is eating watermelon for the nutrients? You eat it because it tastes good and is hydrating on a warm day.

So, does that mean no one should stockpile food and supplies? If you don’t do this, what should you do instead? Where will you get food if not a stockpile?

Really? We’re doing this again?

You sound like a lot of fun.

If no one has prepared any supplies for after a collapse, no one will survive long enough to work together.

I am trying to figure out if the OP actually had anything constructive to contribute to a discussion of disaster preparedness, or if they were just saying “don’t bother doing anything, you’re just fucked if society collapses”. If it’s the former, I’d like to hear it; if the latter, then the comment is trolling.

That’s what I was wondering as well, those dried beans and rice don’t do much good without water.

Sorry but, unless you live in a fortress (maybe you do), you, as one person with a gun, have no chance against a well-armed group of hungry, desperate, nothing-to-lose bastards who are determined to get in.

Pointing out how misguided the whole “retreat to my bunker with 10 years worth of food” approach is.

This is why you don’t set up your grill in the front yard.

Lots of guns and ammo and training to boot. Essential for any apocalypse.

How would they even know, unless you had a giant neon sign that said “secret underground pantry inside”.

Honest question: what exactly do you think you’re contributing with a comment like this?

This.

Yea thats a weird take, I game with my family and COD is one of the regulars we can agree on, but we all agreed that vanguard just didnt look any good. More to do with the way it played and the reviews from both plublications and freinds and less to do with.... appealing to the toxic male fantasy? Honestly I’m not

What about water?

iodized salt will actually go bad in a few years

What a weird, clearly biased, and overall dumbass take.

That’s a weird take. I’m surprised you think your average CoD buyer is even thinking about it like that. I’m pretty sure it’s not that serious for most the their audience.
