Like the many other great men of his generation, race, and class cohort, he’s so sure of his intellect and instinct that he doesn’t actually feel the need to know what he’s talking about.

You can get a nice tux at Macy’s for less than $400. Tailored probably puts you at $500. Just because it’s a tux doesn’t mean it has to be super expensive.  Same goes for suits, actually.

A guy I knew gave up red meat, smoking, drinking, and chasing women. He was the healthiest guy I knew, right up till when he shot himself.

I live in a city and have limited outdoor space, it’s the best option in the mid sized grill market.

You would say that, you abortion loving commie! Fuck off!

Is he still making money? Then the rest of this is irrelevant.

What a shithead.

I say this as someone with two decades in the health care system - anyone who defends our current system is either an idiot or a paid shill. It is inefficient, costly, and inequitable. Move to Medicare for all (even just as an option to buy!) would fundamentally change the health care system for the better.

This... doesn’t seem good. Hope he’s on the mend from whatever the ailment may be.

I don’t see why this matters to anyone - the guy’s being celebrated by peers on his way out the door - beyond the fact that Irish music is terrible.

Yep, the Philadelphia area has many uni’s doing good work (Penn, Drexel, Temple), but it doesn’t come without friction.  I’m generally supportive of their growth, but it can cause problems if you’re not working with local community groups to address concerns of gentrification, displacement, etc.

Double hit, there, since universities don’t pay city/state property taxes in many cases

Oh, and she casually suggests killing liberals for the lulz. Original tweet is hers.

Christine Flowers is the fucking worst. I don’t have anything pithy or clever, she’s a horrible person who seems to be the embodiment of comments like, “racism would go away if you just stopped talking about it.”

Ha! I hadn’t considered that (very possible) situation.

Maybe typing on a phone causes typos? No need to welcome the end of humanity over it buddy.

Re cocaine:

It seems like it’d be a really good idea to put the responsibility of maintaining the voting infrastructure and administering of the actual vote in the hands of non-political organizations. Than again, if you did that, you’d probably make it a lot easier to vote - god knows we don’t want that!

Wasn’t this the very same election IS infrastructure that has been repeatedly accused of being insufficiently secure? Weren’t many, many attempts made to have Kemp solidify it well in advance of any known breach?

Now playing

I’m actually pretty pumped that ebikes are getting popular. They seem super practical for modest commutes (<10 miles) and make recreational biking more accessible to others.
