I grew up with two loving, normal parents who provided me with a happy, stable home so my next comment is really borne more from a review of how I’d like to approach parenting now that I’ve recently discovered that I’ll be a father soon.

I got hit by a car while running a few years ago. I was in the crosswalk and they just turned right into me. There was an ambulance coming up the street so they were trying to get out of its way and didn’t look before turning abruptly.

Most writers are aware of the context when choosing a word, and select appropriately. Otherwise, they’ll lose their message, which can really smart.
