I would gladly line up with Scott walker and Wisconsin's anti-union crowd.... In baseball and basketball you have guys who don't derserve to get any check pulling in millions of year,

The NFL is popular because of the quality of play. The players ARE the product, that's their leverage. Sure, many at the bottom of the roster are expendable, but we can't even find 32 Drew Brees level QBs on the entire fucking planet, despite the massive wealth and fame to be gained by anyone who can do what he does.

I wouldn't say I'm pro owners, but it is their money.

(why, just scroll down!)

And I really don't get the guy who asked for coffee in his last meal.

Ya, she should come to American, where universities never freak out about stuff like this and conservatives have never gotten their knickers in a twist about sexuality. Just steer clear of the liberal bastions like Provo.

Absolutely. In many respects getting into the big tournament is the equivalent of a earning a bowl berth in college football, with the added bonuses of getting a real chance to compete for the prize and not potentially costing the school a buttload of cash for the "honor".

Do you believe that? You have to, if you believe that the NCAA Champion is the best team in college basketball

This is a great idea. If the pitch gets too hot, players might start falling down all over the place.

Reading this was even sadder when I realized that Drew passed away 6 years ago.

Yup, that sure balances things out. One far left dude with a camera (correctly) refuting the assertion that there is a massive terrorist threat which is certainly coming to kill us all, sell our children into slavery and rape our livestock (while never denying the fact that there have been and will be terrorist

I for one am glad we have Fox News to cancel out all the bias. Why just today Glenn Beck and Ann Coulter went on Fox to assure us all that radiation is actually good for us, despite what all those liberal "doctors" and "scientists" may think, so really this whole Japanese thing just isn't that big a deal. Thank god

Obama, my friend, is no Winston Churchill.

My original point, which I still stand by, was to question the posts thesis that worrying about PED use in sports was somehow "silly", and that head injuries are obvious the biggest problem facing sports, as anyone with

Because the long term health issues of PEDs are piss in the wind compared to the long term health issues of the head trauma that comes with simply playing football.

Yes, head injuries are a big problem that needs addressing. But how does this make PED use an overblown issue which is "silly" to worry about? Have we suddenly discovered PEDs that don't contribute to all sorts of awful health problems, up to and including death?

Indeed. I'm glad the Pac-10 decided to DQ Washington for having won on such a bad shot.

Drew, you're making a big mistake underestimating Norv. Guy was a NCAA QB, so he has some athletic chops. But more important: he's ugly as sin and his given name is Norval Eugene. Between his name and his face I'm sure he has plenty of anger to work with and no compunction about getting bloodied a bit in order to

@Terrence_Mannaise: Because players with legitimate injuries should always play, no matter how ineffective they would be or how much their ineffectiveness would actually hurt their team.
