I've seen tons of reporting and criticism on everything from the innocents murdered by drone strikes to unconstitutional gathering and monitoring of online traffic over the preceding 8 years. In fact, this kind of criticism primarily comes from the left. It's just we are faced with a choice between two candidates.

I think I read something interesting that as opposed to other task simulators like Harvest moon that the day is roughly 50% longer than average. This slows it down so that you have plenty of time to spend getting to know people in town.

Thanks. Thematically, I think the two games are of a piece.

I'm bummed. I finished Stardew Valley, and for $15 I got my money worth as it took me 80 hours or so to get to the start of Year 3. I was judged as a perfect farmer. But I've now accomplished everything I wanted to accomplish other than trying to make my farm look pretty or achieving some of the more seemingly

If they criticized Obama for his anti-colonial mindset, why not go back to a more colonial form of bigotry.

I've done a bit. It's not my favorite thing, but it's the only way to get iridium as far as I know. I haven't actually figured out how to unlock fhe casino yet.

I felt much the same way about that game. At a certain point, it just wasn't that fun to play and I kept going just because I wanted to see what happened (especially to the companions).

I'm nearing the end of my game in Stardew Valley. It's winter of year two. All my tools except the watering can have been upgraded to iridium. I've married Leah and had a kid. I have a hundred kegs and a hundred preserve jars, and I restored the community center. I just need Grandpa to tell me he loves me.

No argument there.

There is a difference between being angry at giant douche and turd sandwich false equivalences and being angry because they made fun of Hillary Clinton.

Fuck this. These guys are the worst.

It's hard to blame a TV show for anything when faced with people that refuse to do any kind of critical thinking.

Too many people didn't know that the douche and shit sandwich metaphor was definitely a false equivalence in this election.

Pretty much.

I spent the entire winter of year 1 grinding enough gold and iron to make 50 quality sprinklers. 400 crops is more than I can actually plow/plant/water on the first day of a season change. Although I guess I could keep expanding, I don't really see the point at this point as even the million/2 million G items are in

I actual grew up on a small family ranch. I prefer Stardew to the actual experience of growing up in rural Missouri.

I'm in exactly the same boat to the extent of 68 hours in like 3 weeks except that I always give the fruit and forage I found to random villagers to clear out some inventory space.

It's been a busy week in Stardew Valley for me. The worse the outside world starts to look the better this game starts to feel. I married Leah, had a kid, bought a horse, won an award for best display at the harvest festival, drove out Joja Mart, restored the community center, delved too deep into skull cavern, and

If the history of Nintendo post the Wii is any guide, people are fine paying as much for a Nintendo console with half the features of the other two just because of Mario, Zelda and Smash Brothers.

I just want Nintendo to do better. Why does a system whose primary selling point is Nintendo history and IP not have a unified account that tracks virtual console purchases? And why isn't it cheaper? It's priced as an alternative to the PS4/Xbox, but it has fewer games and worse performance. And its network features
