How are you finding Divinity? I'm tempted to start a campaign with my SO, but I'm worried she'll find it impenetrable.

I never played Endless Space, but it does feel like the devs have figured out a way to iterate on the 4x genre.

It does feel endless and pointless! But I mostly play it on breaks at work and in lines.

It's been a pretty slow couple weeks in games for me.

I'm mostly done with No Man Sky, and I think I'll be doing more game-related activity in meatspace for a while.

I've playing this steadily since release. And I think the author's ritual analogy is very apt. And like most rituals, it's best it's limited to a couple hours at a time for a couple times a week. You can work at building a better hyperdrive or getting a better ship while you move from planet to plane.t

Sean Murray tweeted that they're going to add stuff (even beyond the base building and freighters promised).

I would have loved an AC that placed more of a premium on free form actually planning an assassination (maybe like Hitman) as opposed to the set-piece approach.

2016 has been the year for shame in humanity though I think video game commentary has made me feel less shame on the whole when compared to the unmitigated disaster of 2015 video game discussion.

2 hours is the prefect amount of time for a No Man Sky session.

I've been playing a little No Man Sky, and reading about the reactions to it. It's a little odd that the dominant narrative seems to be that its closest analogue is Spore. This is profoundly misleading and lazy. The connection being little more than wildly overhyped (and ultimately disappointing) game that relies

It's going to be weird if the ruling gets overturned on appeal (sources I've read make this sound likely), and we find out that media outlets can be shuttered by libel law even if they ultimately win the case.

Me too. The only reason I don't really listen to it anymore is because I listened to it basically everyday for years.

I still know every word of this song even though I haven't listed to it in more than half a decade. It is creepy.

This sounds perfect to me. Have a person responsible for one of the best and dumbest movies ever adapt a book about the dangers of amusing ourselves to death with dumb entertainments.

I've found a bunch just flying around too.

It really does. I got 25 slots on my suit now I think and 20 on my ship.

I've found the upgrades very useful: tripling sprint time, jet pack usage, how long you can mine without overheating, and how quickly you can mine does a lot of work in mitigating some of the more tedious aspects of the game.

At best, the sharply limited inventory forcing you to not collect everything (or really much of anything) seems of a piece with a game that is technically too large to possibly see everything.

I'm playing No Man Sky. I can see how some people might find it boring, but there is something magical about watching a planet and a moon orbit overhead on an ocean moon in front of a 20-foot tall saber tooth cat while lazing about collecting alien words and platinum. I don't think I've ever played a game that so
